  • Thanks again ladies!! Yes, I am exclusively breast feeding and I will be pumping when I go back to work in June. I already lost a few pounds, some natural baby weight I guess and 1.2 pounds last week. I have been keeping my calorie intake at 1500. Everyone says I should increase to 1700 (1200 diet + 500), but I am so…
  • Wow!!! That's awesome! I'm only eating about 1500 calories a day! And I'm starving by the end of the day! I haven't noticed a decrease on my supply yet but I would hate that to happen! How soon were you allowed to exercise strenuously? I feel ready to do some Jillian workouts but I'm being cautious and rather have the ok…
  • Very helpful ladies!! I didn't know I could log breast feeding, where? I'm looking this up now. ;) Breastfeeding is great and my baby girl is a natural; she latched on as soon as she was born. I'm definitely adding more healthier calories to my diet! I'm drinking about 9-12 cups of water a day too, might increase that as…
  • Thanks ladies! I agree!! Breast feeding makes me so hungry and dehydrated.
  • Thanks everyone for your advice!
  • So you don't think the amount of sugar will ultimately affect my diet? Or health I should say- I make sure to stay below my calories, its my sugar amount that I always exceed.

  • It actually told me I burned 481 :) It sounded a bit extreme since I walk on Saturdays for about 2 hours and I burn about that much doing so. However, many bike riders encouraged me to ride and told me how beneficial it was.

  • So I did eight miles in an hour and a half. Slow pace- Nothing too extreme since I am new to this lol I usually do not eat back most of my calories. I can stay within my calorie goal all week. I do need the extra calories on the weekends. But I am going to stop my cheat days on weekends since I have only dropped 9 pounds…

  • Thank you everyone for the great advice and support. I am happy to meet each and everyone of you and can't wait to learn so much from you guys. I'm committed to lose the weight, but most importantly learn how to love myself. Thanks again. Erika
  • You are too sweet!! You know society now days considers anyone under 120 fat! I think everyone is beautiful!! I am working hard to lose the weight. We need more people like you in this world!!
  • I agree with you completely :-(
  • You guys are the best!
  • Welcome girl! I love MFP! Its the best site ever!! I know what makes it the greatest is the members!
  • Thanks for the comment! I truly wish I could try running out doors. I am just so busy and usually finish my day late so I get scared to run at night. I guess I could continue the same routine until I stop seeing results. I just want to make sure I am doing the right thing.
  • Oh yes... I set resistance at 10 now... I started of at 1 of course and have been able to increase it. I have been using it for 30 days. Should I be at a higher resistance by now?
  • I set the resistance at 10... I do the weight loss so it goes up and down after a certain amount of time. I could probably do longer than 60- but I have to sleep for work since I always work out late so I stop. I guess if I set the resistance higher I would be teasing my body more. What resistance you set it as?
  • Never heard of this... let me look it up... Oh, yes, we have one at my gym. I have never used it
  • So true!
  • I have heard this before... I am going to try doing the treadmill as long as I can tomorrow
  • I feel the same way!! I also have more fun on the elliptical
  • You think I would see faster results if I switched it up?
  • Nothing is more exciting than hearing people tell you that you are losing weight! We (family) all notice your accomplishments and don't want you to get discouraged! One day you will fit in a size 8! Your hard work will show. Great job sis!
  • Try other activities that are fun like zumba :)
  • Girl! take this as a motivation to try harder! don't put yourself down. Proof yourself you can do it! I am very guilty of putting myself down and it only discourages me.
