I love Malibu in Diet Coke, with a lime slice

I live on Amy’s and Trader Joe’s frozen entrees at work or busy evenings. I add a cheese stick and a salad and/or fruit and I’m satisfied Chile relleno casserole, cheese enchilada meal with corn and beans, tofu scramble, and Mexican casserole are my faves!

If you could actually see her goodies, I'd probably say something to the staff and let them address it with her if they determined the level of visibility to be inappropriate.

I always have their organic frozen brown rice and the jasmine rice.... 3 mins in the microwave and done!

I like Skinnytaste.com for flavorful meals that are still reasonable calorie

Macros are the 3 major food types: Fat, carbohydrates, and protein. Depending on your personal needs and what gives you satiety, people monitor these macros. 1 gram carbs = 4 calories 1 gram fat = 9 calories 1 gram protein = 4 calories

I weigh every day, nude first thing in the morning after using the restroom. I log my daily weight in Happy Scale, and new lows in MFP.

Correct, a 12oz can of Diet Coke only has 45mg which is pretty negligible to me. I drink 2-3 cans a day.... Diet Dr Pepper is BOMB.

Be active and enjoy yourself, just don’t go hog wild. Start back on counting as soon as you get home so your week doesn’t become a month. Have fun!

Yes, fashionista here! One of my rewards to myself is buying a nice outfit, new boots, etc instead of going out to eat. Win win!

Her Dr doesn't sound very knowledgeable about nutrition, not being weak or faint is a very vague guideline

As far as avocados go, I use half quite often! I leave the pit in one side, wrap in plastic wrap as tight as I can, then put the whole thing in a Ziploc baggie in the fridge. Usually it keeps a day with very little browning, and if I do get a little I just scrape it off.

I have been wearing a Fitbit One for 4 years now, and have also been very happy with it and gaining/losing/maintaining as expected using it. It isn't as flashy as the others, but it needs more recognition for sure!

If it helps you with the motivation to not feel like you are "wasting your time", try eating back half. That way you get to enjoy some extra calories while also getting the benefits of exercise, and you can feel like you are getting a bonus. Exercise doesn't have to be hours on the treadmill, try a dance/zumba class or…

+1 I know you didn't ask, but especially if I was tight on funds I'd stop with the expensive shakes and high-tail it to Aldi !

Just had black eye peas from dry beans... DONE in an hour with no soaking. What the IP does well it does a great job!

You might benefit by using a weight trending app like Happy Scale (iOS) or Libra (Android). You log daily but it graphs the trends for you so you can see an overall trend and not worry when the scale goes up.

This one has been the favorite I've tried: https://www.budgetbytes.com/2016/03/make-instant-pot-chicken-stock/

Fitbit, C25k or Zombies Run, and Happy Scale

I think you can use TrendWeight.com from your desktop

I find that it is best for soups, stews/roasts/whole chickens, etc. There are some people that try to do all kinds of stuff (cheesecakes, etc) but to me that is not using it for what it is best for. Also, sauces that usually cook a long time (lots of Indian receipes are great. It does have a learning curve. Skinnytaste has…

Vegas has quite a bit of gourmet food, but they are expensive of course. Guy Savoy, Joel Robuchon, Twist, Le Cirque, Picasso, etc.

Been to Vegas 15 times and we eat our way through ha ha. Some faves, these have a wide variety LOL! In n Out: Double Double with animal style fries! Secret Pizza at Cosmopolitan Wicked Spoon Peppermill for breakfast (the Fireside Lounge is cool at night too) Bouchon at Venetian Joel Robuchon ($$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$) Dirt Dog…

My other issue with WW and it plays into this discussion, is that every year they re-vamp the program. It seems that they re-vamp for the sake of re-vamping, so they can sell new materials, etc. I understand that they are a for-profit company, but let's be honest they are already making good return. However, some of the…

Thinking of adding in some Body Pump classes to shake things up, I currently do Zumba along with some squats (ATG squats with bar/weights). I tried to do Stronglifts but quickly got bored, but I do enjoy the squats. I understand that Body Pump won't add much measurable muscle gain. However when combined with adequate…

I would agree with this.... The message my father hears is that the zero calorie foods are a good healthy option that he can enjoy "to satisfaction". To my dad, "satisfaction" is a bowl of the frozen yonanna, not a small 1/4 cup serving. What he is eating is easily a few hundred calories. I don't think that WW is properly…

I was given a tip to use Summers Eve spray under the apron area, works great for me. After showering/drying, I spray a quick spray and I'm good to go. I only have 25-30 pounds to go and the apron is shrinking now but I doubt will be totally gone unless I have surgery (had 2 C-sections that really took a toll).
-
I left WW after Flex Points and have never looked back.... currently watching my father struggle with losing on WW as he is gorging himself on "Zero Point" items. He's now making huge bowls of "nice cream" using a Yonanna machine, all the people at his meetings went on and on about zero point dessert and now he's stalled.…

@haybales Yes, true! I was referring her to a site for reputable information and reliable calculator, she has clearly happened upon one elsewhere that caused needless confusion about her maintenance level. :-)
