I'd love to do a 12 minute run -- within the year! I've been averaging 13:40 but I walk/jog so I guess it's not too bad. This week the majority of my foods were different than normal and I have to say I was a lot happier food wise. Going to try to keep that trend . Going to see Gone Girl tomorrow night with my friend;…

Nice to see this thread. I try to do 1200 but daily come short --- I'm never hungry and for the most part eat the right foods. I've been losing steadily at a healthy average of .5 - 1 lb a week. Feel free to add me.

Hello Maureen … very different pages, be fun to learn the new stuff! Yesterday was an eh day for me. Ate fine, but got less than no exercise in. At desk all day, 1.5 hr hair appt at night, and that was about it. Today is team lunch, I can eat good, but it takes away chances to exercise. Hoping to get out there early enough…

Jerky is on my top 5 hated foods :) But I think the eggs and cottage cheese are doable on a weekly basis. I definitely worry about fat, but avocado will be a good treat once a week in a sandwich or on salad. Thanks!

Ha Ha Lisa …. nah on the dork - plus who will know it's you! I bough this little thing that clips on my jacket and flashes light. I have a lot of side streets near me so hoping that will be enough. No street lights at all though, so may need to dork it out with you ;-) I like your lunch idea --- I don't get that far ahead…

Hello everyone. Today was an off day for me, not awful, but no workout and I did have friend chicken for dinner - only ate 1/2, but lets face it fried anything is fried. I probably wasn't much over my calories (still need to log) as I did real earlier in the day, So won't beat myself up - just push a little harder…

Happy October! New month … new goals. Fill up your goal sheet! Son's bday today so a little more difficult food wise, but I will make it work!!!!

You got it! I always have tea after dinner; gives me something so I don't feel so empty handed. But if you must snack after dinner, have carrots up in fridge or baked chicken that you can snack on. Not bad options :)

Welcome to the group Lonney! Glad to see you've posted on a few of our topics. :)

Oh, made the spring rolls. MESSY! Overall they were pretty good. The only thing is they were heavy as I fried them. I definitely want to try again, but wanted to try baking them to see if I can get that crisp without the heavy oil feeling afterwards. If I can master that, these will definitely be a great change. At 170…

Lisa, it was a learning month. Cook up chicken on Sunday night and have it in the fridge to pick on all week - it's a great protein go to food item. I bake mine in chicken broth with salt and pepper and it's great. Keep at it -- you'll get it to work!!!

Oh no - I wasn't even thinking of all that Halloween candy!!! EEEKKKK. Lisa, the bike rides sound beautiful! I made my miles goal for the month of September and that felt great. Going to keep that as a goal during the winter months. For October: 1. Get 50 miles in 2. Work out at least 5 times a week 3. Break the habit of…

Hello! Brenda, I've grown to learn I will never get up early to do anything. It's not like I sleep til 9 or anything, but I've always wanted that extra hour for myself and even in the summer on the nice warm days, it just doesn't happen for me. I'll be envious if you make it work! Good luck :) Thanks for sharing the recipe…

Happy Monday (if those 2 words can even belong together  ). Lisa, thanks for the squash recipe - the picture is enough to make me want it now!!!! Will try this week. I'm going to check out your blog for the 9 month fitness group. I'm worried that within a month when it's cold and I can't get out there I may start to…

The 17 Day Diet introduces healthy carbs in it's Cycle 3. I do 2 of these carbs 5 days a week and always have them before 2:00 in the afternoon. Here's the list of approved carbs: http://17ddblog.com/food-lists/cycle-3/ Another thing I've tried and is the cauliflower pizza dough and zucchini pizza strips - can google…

Those are the best classes Maureen … I love that sore feeling in an odd way! I didn't make the spring rolls last night as my son got called into work and want him to try them fresh with me. Plus cooking for 1 isn't fun. I did make some chicken burgers that I had for dinner and have some left overs for lunch. Be nice to not…
