You should try intermittent fasting. I personally fast the first 6 hours of the day, when I'm the least hungry. Then I can eat reasonable amounts of food the rest of the day. Makes sticking to 1200 calories pretty easy. Some people do it on a larger scale. Let's say Bob needs to eat 1500 calories, so he does 1000 calories…

Nah, I'll be disappointed if I don't think I reached my goal at the end of the month, but really water retention made it seem like I lost less than I should have. At the very least I am not weighing everyday anymore. I don't care as much anymore. I don't want to see that I'm in the 200s still. :P

Triggered at 1200 for men. This is fine though because we aren't all 6'+ tall. :P

I've grown fond of popchips recently. 120 calories / 28 grams. Not terrible and it's just as good, if not better than regular chips in my opinion. I like the Sea Salt variety. I don't like the barbecue kind though.

Weight loss isn't all pure fat, you do lose some LBM along the way. Recheck as you get closer to your goal.

M, 21, 5'6" - 1400 calories most days, while sedentary. Some days I come in slightly under. Don't shoot me though, that's a 1000 calorie deficit, I eat high protein and take a MV. I'll eat more when the weather is comfortable enough for me to start exercising.

I've got a sorta funny story about this. I ate a square of mom's baked ziti yesterday and wrote it off as a generous 900 calories (it was a normal portion, but the recipe used lots of cheese and meat). But then I saw my log (written). I was already at my daily goal for the day. So I was seriously upset with myself. I…

If it's something like a single fry/cracker/chip or whatever I just put it down as a flat 10-30 calories. It's too insignificant to bother looking up the nutrition for that.

There's a reason why the locals of these countries aren't obese. Just eat as they do (no touristy crap though!). If you do that, I doubt you will see much of any gain over those 7 days. Don't worry about your weight too much, just go have fun!

Did some research on that and it appears they were also being forced to move 22 miles per week, expending about 2500 calories per day (while only eating 1500-1800). I do not know about the validity of plateaus though. I feel as though you should always lose weight if you keep a big enough deficit, but fluid balance etc is…

Hey, you there. Go grab a pair of jeans with a belt. Try it on.

Most people here vote against losing 1-2 lbs per week, but at your weight I think you can lose 3 safely. Your going to need surgery to get rid of the loose skin anyway. Just record your data and try not to exceed 3 lbs/week.

Let's see... chocolate covered bacon... *breathes heavily*

If its 6 weeks you are losing 2.8 lbs/week, if its 5 weeks you are losing 3.4 lbs/week. Going by 1%, it's fine if you are 280/340 lbs. If you are less than those weights, then you should probably eat a little bit more. Maybe 100-200 kcal.

Thanks for the perspective! I love this community. :D I'll aim for 1800-1900, +extra if I work out on that day.

I'll bump it up 200 calories and play with it from there. Thanks for your suggestions. :)
