Yeah, useful bit of kit! For those bot sure where it is. Go to add.new entry. Pick which meal and you will see that on the right, next to the search bar is a squiggly box. Tap on that for the barcode scanner

i understand that, i get home late most nights and quite often don't feel like cooking. However, i've started to meal plan now which helps. Making sure you have stuff in the fridge for quick easy meals on returning home. Tbh, the amount of time it takes to order take out and wait for it to arrive-you probably could have…

hi, are you measuring yourself aswell? it maybe that you are turning fat to muscle - and as you may be aware, muscle weighs heavier than fat.

i find the advice of eating slowly reduces my need to scoff a load of bad stuff these days. For example, last night we had pizza, normally we would have a pizza each -just over 1000 cals. Last night i slowed my eating right down and by the time i was finishing my 4th piece i was well and truely stuffed! which meant i only…

i'm a total sugar addict too, it's my biggest problem. You probably want to try and eat more G.I foods that release sugar slowly. That way your body doesn't tend to crave sugar as much -that's what i'm finding anyway. I'm trying just to eat dark chocolate too, as i find i don't want to scoff the whole bar. Good luck :)

helps increase saliva flow which helps neutralise acids in your mouth -so is great! HOWEVER!! WARNING!! do NOT chew all day long, we are not cows and chewing allday will damage your tempromandibular joint. So only chew for a couple of minutes at a time. :D that was your public information service!

really important thing when brewing green tea is not to use just boiled water as it will give it a bitter taste.Instead boil the water, then let it cool for about a minute before pouring over the tea leaves. However, i've heard that electrical sockets in the US haven't enough power to make water boil at 100 degrees, so it…

mine is a username i have used for years. Meissa is the traditional name for the star at the head of the star consellation Orion. I chose it as i've always loved Orion and see it most nights. After a google search though, i discovered it also is Arabic for The Shining one -which i think is rather lovely :)

oh dear, the elements have been aginst you! but glad to see you're raring to go! it's probably worth looking into the Glycemic index diet with regards to PCOS.Essentially it's about eating bit less carbs and/or carbs that have low G.I such as sweet potatoes rather than normal potatoes.

i understand the first posters view point but we need to be encouraging rather than angry. Because after all it is their body and we have enough on our plate (sorry bout the pun!) looking after our own diaries! I think that maybe the first poster is finding it harder to stay on track if others are just scoffing too much…

i bet people who haven't seen you in a while would walk past you in the street -you're almost unrecognisable! well done!

from what i've read on the forum, 1200 cals is the minimum-less than this and your body goes into starvation mode. Have you done the BMR on the website and seen what it says? Again, from the stories i read here -if you stick to that then you should lose the weight. (Some people find eating smaller, more regaular meals…

no wonder you're smiling! you look superb and youthful :)

i'm attempting 30lbs initially, but could probably lose another 20lbs after that to be very slim. I'm trying to take it slowly this time and not get disappointed at losing the weight slowly. It's difficult in the world today with tv showing people losing weight super fast. But i'm hoping the gradual change will be easier…

i would actually suggest she joins this site! say how well it's working for you and how lovely and supportive people are here. It's understandable that she's feeling a bit envious, but from what you say i don't think she's being nasty -just insecure, so maybe MFP will help her?
