you are progressing brilliantly, well done!

never knew there was a link between IBS and thrush but i guess it makes sense with IBS, i think you have to learn what irritates your stomach -i personally rarely touch alcohol or dairy as they are my worst triggers. re the candida -i found having the implant in my arm has helped loads with that as i barely have a time of…

thanks for all the replies, it's been helpful i don't see this as a diet tho (ive never 'dieted' in my life), it is a lifestyle change -but change can be hard work. It's hard to not just shove food in your mouth sometimes-even if you don;t want it. When i'm depressed or lethargic i want to eat to give me energy-which for…

my other half is veggie so we used quorn regularly. I think the mince really only works in chilli, there's not enough flavour in the mince for spag bol. the chicken pieces are briliant for curry -they really suck up the flavour. In fact, my brother who is an obsessive meat eater didn't realise he was eating the quorn…

Yep, having on of those days myself... Miserable that I've been doing this 40days and only shifted 5lbs and really hated my reflection in the mirror today. All my clothes looked hideous!

You look gorgeous hun, like a butterfly
-
you answered your own question! weighing everyday is not useful and will get you into the state you're in! ie freakin mad! honestly, weigh once a week-you'll feel much better for not obsessing
-
i'm into Steampunk! (so much so that i organise a 3 day event!)
-
nice one Miss!

nope, and i do sometimes feel rather sad that i don't-esepc when i see other women who have best mates and how lovely those type of friendships are. it's not even just having someone to do girly stuff with, i would love to just have one mate i can talk to about anything i had a best mate at school and we stayed great…

well done! you're doing brilliantly :D

phenomenal! well done on making your life so much better!

Very interested in the idea of HIIT, going to have a go this morning on my crosstrainer!

of course there are other foods and drinks equally as acidic as soda, but not many of them contain aspartame which is why i haven't mentioned them as the topic is about aspartame. Regarding saliva being more acidic than soda, i guess that's potentially true but would be extremely rare as saliva normally has a resting pH of…

I would suggest getting hold of a low GI cook book and try that out.

Well go and ask at your next examination, I'm not arguing or calling your dentist incompetent, just pointing out facts about acid erosion with regard to carbonated drinks as is part of the topic of the general conversation.
-
I don't know your dentist, so its not my place to say. The problem with diagnosing erosion is that erosion thins the enamel, so is not as obvious as a cavity. The evidence is that carbonated drinks are extremely acidic and that it causes acid erosion on enamel if heavily consumed . The worst case I've seen was a 9yr old…

You may just be preparing it wrong, a common mistake with green tea is to pour boiling water on it but this gives it a horrid bitter taste. I boil my water then let it cool for a minute then add it and it generally tastes good. I also find organic green tea has a nicer taste :)

How about your hygienist? In my 10 yrs post qualification only 1 dentist I have worked with has ever mentioned it to a patient. Obviously I can't see your mouth, so can not pass opinion on you personally
-
THANK YOU!! I'm always amazed when I read these posts especially replies such as "I drink 6 cans of diet coke a day, and I'm fine" because the chances are that your teeth are badly damaged and you don't realise it. As a dental hygienist I see this problem every single day, teeth badly eroded from acid in carbonated drinks,…

i'm 34 and even now i don't like my Mum telling me what to do(or anyone tbh!) best advice is to leave her to make her own choices/decisions about food, etc -she'll soon learn if she brings it up then be supportive and matter of fact -if you eat junk then you will put on weight-but otherwise don't say anything because it's…
-
wow, total transformation! you look really super :D
-
yeah, i lost 14lbs last year then gradually let it go back on, but i'm determined this time to not make that same mistake! good luck!
-
have you thought about swimming as an exercise-good for back and won't hurt your feet! there's also back stregthening exercises such as pilates (i'm a big fan as i also suffer with the back) anyway, you've done brilliantly so far with regards to losing weight -just remember it's a marathon not a sprint!
-
Butter or olive oil spread
-
Skirts, I'm hoping that I'll lose enough weightto have my thighs stop rubbing
-
Totally agree with that comment , partly because I don't want to feel bad if I've gone over by 10 cals!
-
He probably was snidy back as he's tried and failed to quit smoking and you've hit a raw nerve over that failure. Give the guy a break!
-
you look great and can't believe you're not already in the healthy category on the bmi scale!

i think cycling shorts are good as they help stop chaffing from your clothes and the wicking thing helps to stop you getting drenched in sweat. not an expert tho :)
