• I'm here to provide and receive support. It's what this is all about, right? :) Feel free to add me!
• Well said Sallerina :)
• I have my back covered and a 1/4 sleeve (so far :) I've lost weight in the past and haven't had any issues.
• I went vegetarian almost 2 years ago. I first read Skinny B*tch and started thinking about it; then read The Kind Diet by Alicia Silverstone. The Kind Diet changed my life and I'll never go back. I read Eating Animals a few months ago and it reaffirmed my decision. It wasn't hard for me to break up with meat. Reading about…
• All I can say is WOW!! You look amazing. (love the tats by the way :) You are a huge inspiration!
•
It sucks that so many people view us this way. It makes me sad, but living in beef country I see it every day. When I tell someone I don't eat meat, they immediately roll their eyes or make some sort of snarky comment. I'm not a cowboy but I live in 'the cowboy state'. I get worse reactions telling someone I don't…
• I'm trying, and making progress every day. I recycle what I can and use natural cleaners. I'm no where near making my own stuff yet! I would also love the soap recipe. I wash on cold and use CFL bulbs in all my lights. I don't eat meat and try to eat more local veggies that don't have to get shipped. Hard to find around…
• I admit that I am addicted to Avatar The Last Airbender.... and I'm a **cough** thirty something mom of two. Does that count? Cause it makes me feel pretty nerdy lol My hubby is addicted to WoW. It's tough to fight for the computer to log on here!
• [
I was not saying that vegetarians look down on meat eaters. Just the opposite- some vegans (not the majority- please don't get offended! Just some experiences I've had) look down on vegetarians as 'not doing enough'. Same with a small group of vegetarians who look down on those who eat fish. I'm not here to judge…
• I'm sorry if someone has already suggested this and I missed it, but checkout the Moosewood Restaurant cookbooks. They have some great recipes, and have a small section for those who still eat fish. Best of luck!
• I agree, fish is meat. But does that mean someone who eats fish should be looked down on? I'm in no way saying this is everyone, but some vegetarians look down on those who eat fish; some vegans look down on vegetarians for eating dairy. Why do we have to have specific names for each different category based on what people…
• I'm out here too! I've been a veggie for a year and a half and will never go back. I live in one of the most veggie un-friendly states; Wyoming, so it's hard to find like minded friends. Feel free to add me :)
• For anyone who is not a veggie, it may not seem a big deal. But as someone who is also vegetarian for ethical reasons; it's just plain gross to find out you've eaten an animal product without knowing it. I can see a server making a mistake; but to be told over and over incorrect information is inexcusable. I hope you get…
• I've been a vegetarian for almost 2 years. I do believe a vegan diet is healther, it is my next goal. Best of luck on your journey, and feel free to add me as a friend if you'd like. Any of you veggies, I can use all of the support!! :)
• I have chubby cheeks too. It doesn't matter how skinny I get, I still lose my eyes when I smile :(

• I'd be glad to take some for you :) The first thing I lose when I start losing weight is my boobs. Which really sucks because I don't really have anything to begin with.

• You look amazing!! I love the tats, how long has that taken you? I'm working on a half sleeve, have to keep the ink covered at my job :(
• My boobs are the first thing to go. And I don't have any extra to spare, so it really is frustrating.
• I'm a vegetarian, and I overdo the carbs almost daily. I also eat mostly whole grains too so I try not to worry about it too much. I eat a lot of brown rice. I'm trying very hard to add more veggies to my diet though.
• I was off medication for about 6 months; accupuncture really helped me. Just be careful when you stop taking your meds, I'm not sure what you are on but stopping suddenly can cause some really rough side effects. Best of luck to you!
• Welcome! I'm also a pescatarian working toward veganism. (It's so hard, I love shrimp and crab legs!) I usually have oatmeal or cereal for breakfast, at lunch I eat a lot of Amy's vegan burritos or soup. I work during the day so I have been bad about buying frozen meals. I also like the vegan Kashi meals. Dinner consists…
• I actually had athletes foot a few years back from walking on the carpet in a tanning bed salon barefoot. It wasn't really peeling, it was more like an itchy rash. I would definitely see a dermatologist if it is worrying you.
• EW, I didn't know Brita used animal products... I am a vegetarian who has gone vegan for a few months at a time. I'm ashamed that I've been eating dairy, I do believe that a vegan diet is the most healthy. I'm hoping the new movie- Forks Over Knives will open more eyes to the health benefits of a plant based diet. Would…

• I find that eating whole grains, such as brown rice, seems to keep me full for a while. I also keep snacks around when I do start getting hungry. This sounds a little weird, but if I get hungry in the evening I usually cook up some brocolli or another veggie and snack on it. I love Okra :)
• I love Amy's burritos :) Their soups are great too. I also like the Kashi meals when I'm in a hurry. Most of them are around 300 calories. Some of them are pretty onion-y so I make sure to bring mints to work when I have them. lol
• I used to weigh every day and it can really ruin your mood if it's not showing what you want it to. Day to day can fluctuate (sp?)depending on water retainage and lots of other things. I've gotten to the point that I weigh every Monday morning- it's so tempting to do it more often but like what another has already said, I…
• You look amazing!!
• I've been a vegetarian for a year and a half- I also made the change when I read Alicia's The Kind Diet. It truly changed my life. I'm ashamed that I'm not eating more vegan, but that's another story. If Food Inc spurred you to begin questioning your diet, Eating Animals by Jonathan Safran Foer will answer them for you.…
• I'm a vegetarian and 'The Kind Diet' by Alicia Silverstone is my bible- according to the doctors who have contributed to the book, you only really need one serving of protein per day. It's a myth that your body needs more than that. I make sure to eat beans, quinoa, edamame, or another protein source once per day. I just…
