I also struggle with depression and anxiety as a result of bipolar II. Medication is a necessity for me but I have had a hard time staying with an exercise routine. Please feel free to add me; I am happy to support and can use some myself

I've been a pescatarian for 6 years and have started eating plant based after reading The China Study. It's a little overwhelming because dairy seems to be in everything I'm feeling good though. Feel free to add, I'd be happy to share struggles and triumphs!

I am also transitioning to vegan. After reading The China Study, I do believe it's the healthiest way to eat, plus better for animals and the environment. Cookbooks are always great, and I love Thug Kitchen as someone else mentioned before (as long as you aren't offended by constant cussing. The writers are hilarious) and…

I've been a pescetarian for 6 years but have started a vegan diet after reading The China Study. It's tough in the beginning, learning what to eat and avoid but I know it will be well worth it. Feel free to add me

I also have bipolar; mine is type 2. Although I stay on meds, I still experience ups and downs, just at a little more manageable level. It's hard to stay motivated when the illness is making you feel that you can't do it, or it won't work anyway. I know it's the illness and not logic, but it doesn't make it easier to…

I chug diet soda like it's my last day on earth. I don't record it.

Excedrin migraine works wonders. I am unfortunately drinking soda again, Diet Dr. Pepper has always been my kryptonite. Cutting it out again is one of my goals too. Feel free to add me if you'd like to swap support! :)

Good for you!! I am a pescatarian, I eat fish occasionally, but haven't had any other meat in almost 5 years. It's definitely a life change that I believe in. :)

Hi Joy, Usually I don't post, but read the success stories when I want to eat something I shouldn't. I just have to reply here. Your story is exactly what I needed today. Your story is truly inspiring; and has touched me more than any I've read. (not that I am knocking anyone's accomplishments. Any victory is worth…

I've been a pescatarian for about 5 years and am now slowly cutting out dairy. I had no idea milk was in so many things!! It's been a tough journey but one I'm determined to make.

I would be glad for you to add me if you'd like. I've been pescatarian for about 5 years and am starting to cut out dairy. I have my diary open to friends so you could help keep me honest  Very nice to meet you and good luck on your journey!

You are welcome to add me if you like. I'm also working toward veganism, been a pescatarian for 5 years. I do still eat seafood occassionally though. Don't judge if I slip up and eat dairy lol :)

You look amazing :)

Quinoa is a great way to get some protein; I like to use it in place of rice in stir frys to shake things up a bit :) Good luck to you; becoming a vegetarian is one of the best choices I've ever made.
-
I'm thinking sodium too if you're getting a lot. I've noticed that I retain a lot more if I've had canned soup or something like that the day before.

You look fantastic :)

I'm a vegetarian and didn't know how I would get along without meat in the beginning. Cutting back on your meat intake is a great idea; it seems overwhelming at first but you'll start discovering some great meals without. Pasta, salads, stir-frys... I've made great friends with brown rice. There are some great ways to get…

I'm the only vegetarian in my family so it seems I'm always eating a separate meal. I eat a lot of brown rice w/ veggies. I'll also separate my portions before I add meat; I'll make vegetarian chili and scoop out my portion before I add beef. If you're making a meal with veggies, I'd say eat the things you want but mind…

Loved the first few chpts of Midnight Sun, don't think we'll ever actually see it finished. She makes comments that she might finish it, but then says that she is sick of writing about vampires right now. :(

I watched the movie awards last night, I only watch for anything Twilight and to see what kinds of weird comments Rob makes. :) I thought the trailer was great, I'm so excited for November :) Did anyone else notice those muscles in Edward's back?? Worth going to see it right there!

Great job!! What a great way to exercise and support a wonderful cause :) We have set up a team for the Relay for LIfe at my work and are getting ready for that next month. It's always exciting to support a cause that is important to us. Best wishes to you!

I thought New Moon was the movie that stayed most true to the book. I love the movie Twilight just because we get the first glimpse of Edward and all of his sexiness, but thought they got way too many things wrong. And the leg hitch in Eclipse was super hot :)

I know this is an old post but any fan fic addicts out there? I need some new recs!

I would think the issue with skipping your veggies would not be lack of protein but other nutrients... Do you guys take a vegetarian multi-vitamin? I take B-12 but I do eat veggies. I would think a vitamin would help fill in the nutrient gaps. Best of luck!

Count me in too! I'm a vegetarian who is aiming for veganism. Sounds like a few of us here! I've met some great veggie friends on here but can always use more! The more support the more successful we'll be, right?
