Hmm. I know that even after surgery, I'll still have scars. I have a pretty realistic idea of what my body will look like in a year. :P (Tummy tuck in Dec.) But yeah - it is hard to be satisfied after a big weight loss because you didn't know what your body was going to look like before.

gracias! This thread made me feel better today cause I'm a little water logged from my period. :) But even though I ate cookies I did well. :) Didn't oversnack elsewhere...better tomorrow! (no cookies he he I gave them away - they were toffee and choc chip too!)

PS I also had a car charger for my laptop. Saaaaaaaaavvvvvvvvvvverrrrrr.

Music. My son, Judah, knows the lyrics to "Hey Jude" by heart ;) and every good classic out there.

Use a no-stick, don't use olive oil at all (try spray crisco) or buy a sprayer :) Yes, log it.

I just want the recipe !! I've tried lower fat cheesecake before but I didn't find it suited to my taste. I usually make NY Style with separating ingredients, lowering the oven temp at certain times, etc. Sooooooo :P DId you use just egg whites?
-
Forget peanut butter. Try an egg.
-
And by "cheesecake" i mean real cheesecake. Not fake. I also don't have a food processor.

Recipe?

not with the butt in front (thanks to pregnancy!!) he he.

my BP is so low i wonder how i walk around sometimes :P yeah what Tam said. :indifferent:
-
Yeah would just reccommend something like Lean Cuisine if you're that bad off for easy meals/can't cook/portions etc. :P Anyway. Jillian Michaels has a food system coming to market soon. Interesting!
-
CLEARLY it works for some people.

I had no idea I loved carrots until I started boiling them and adding brown sugar or pepper. :glasses:

I'm weary of making low-fat recipes because as an avid baker, some things shouldn't be made low-fat. (For instance, cheesecake.) Go for it if you want to - but remember the fat in some recipes is needed to bind together some of the properties and/or make other ingredients work.

I found that Edy's or Bryers + some bear naked apple granola is sooooooooooooo soooooooooooooooooooo gooooooooooooooood I don't even need a full serving of the ice cream.

[edited by moderator] I don't SUPPORT nutrisystem in the sense that I'd reccomend it -- I just think that some things work for some people and I see how some people need/opt into that easier way of dieting at first. Me, it took awhile. < shrug > I also can't eat that stuff because of allergies and medical…

Fanatical about eating exercise calories/calorie intake* is what I meant to say. A lot of people have said, "Well I lost weight eating exercise calories!" and I have lost weight NOT eating (or eating all of, since I don't exercise without replacing something) "exercise calories".
-
That sounds really great, but don't you think you should start with a smaller list?
-
Try something like Lean Cuisine over NutriSystem if you're that bent about it. Then grab a cookbook. http://www.consumeraffairs.com/news04/2006/11/nutrisystem_problems.html If you really can't cook/are busy/worried about portions, get stuff like Tyson's grilled chicken strips (found in the fridge part, not the freezer,…
-
PS I wouldn't RECCOMEND nutrisystem, as it's expensive and she can do it at home, but if she needs it temporarily or whatever, then fine. I'd be more worried about sodium content. But some people have the kind of lifestyle where prepackaged really helps...I know when I lost weight one year it did help out a lot (Lean…

Well...I've lost more weight than you and I don't eat my exercise calories. :noway: I think 100 cal snack packs are a waste of money, yeah. I didn't say I didn't "support" them as I think it's BAD BAD BAD BAD BAD to eat processed foods never do it etc. I mean, I'm eating Subway for dinner...that's bread and cheese. That's…

Granola, anyone?? LOVE GRANOLA!!!!

Wouldn't diet soda act as a leavening agent?
-
You're probably just getting adjusted. What *kind* of fiber?
-
I think that to jump start your diet it's okay but that's a low number of calories. I would suggest upping exercise and calories (a little) when you're off nutrisystem and buy a cookbook. Some people on here are fanatics. Good luck!! If you don't know a lot about nutrition/food/portion sizes than something like…

I do. One, they rarely fill me up and why train my brain to eat chocolate? :s (or whatever?) The only ones I eat are the popcorn ones and I split with Judah so that's only 50 calories. :glasses: I never buy them. Too expensive, too processed...eh. I eat an apple when I'm hungry. The only processed snack food I go for is…
