  • You'll want to aim for less than 20 grams of carbs per day to get into ketosis.
  • I always put a splash of cream (not half and half, heavy whipping cream) in my tea and I've never had it curdle. But I do drink black tea. Mainly Earl Grey or Lady Grey.
  • Where are these pictures of hot people? Asking for a friend. ;)
  • I totally feel you. I'm getting close to goal and I'm also going to transition to body recomp at that point. Yay us!
  • You look great! Congrats on reaching your goal. How tall are you?
  • Woohoo! Day 5 for me!
  • Thank you so much for this! I'm still losing weight, but I have days where I really can't see it in the mirror. I've become like a vain teenager taking endless selfies, trying to convince my brain that YES I am thinner. Not thin, but thinner! lol. I'm 17.5% smaller than I thought, and I thought I was being really accurate!
  • I second powering through for the first few tough weeks. My cravings almost magically disappeared after the first week or so. Honestly, it wasn't that fun. It kinda sucked. But I gave myself permission to eat as much as I wanted of good food. When you are actually satiated on fat and protein, your cravings for that cookie…
  • I can't find it now, but there was a study that showed that people eating a low carb high fat diet actually burn more calories than someone eating a SAD. I haven't noticed a difference in counting calories or not. I've lost weight at about the same rate. Again, everyone is different, but I think the best part of eating…
  • I love seeing everyone's photos! I find it super motivational, so a big thank you to everyone who has posted! My progress so far. Have about 25 lbs or so to go.
  • I'd just remind you that fat is a limit, not a goal. You want to hit your protein goal, eat under your carb limit and eat enough fat for satiety. Glad you're liking the coconut oil!
  • Hey, we all start somewhere! I started at 201 lbs. I'm only 151 cm! That's about a half inch under five feet. I've lost 73 lbs in just under a year. Not too shabby. I also find it easier to focus on how far I have to go instead of celebrating how far I've come. But stay positive and patient! The time would pass anyway, may…
  • Holy crap! What a difference! You must be so stoked. Well done.
  • I love how confident you look in your new pictures! Awesome work.
  • I wore shorts out and about today with the fam. It's a holiday here today. My husband took pictures of us with his new tripod. I like how I look!

  • Just sent a bunch of you friend requests. If I missed you, feel free to add me. I've been doing keto for 11 months. 72 lbs down so far. Fair warning, I curse.
  • For me, I just committed at the start. I didn't know if it would actually work for me, but I figured it was worth a whole hearted effort. I cut out all sugar and grains and starchy veg. All of it. The second day I was in Amsterdam to run an errand and it was sunny and warm and I kept walking by cafes full of people…
  • LOL! Thanks for the laugh.
  • I haven't had a migraine since I started eating keto. 50 weeks. I used to get them roughly once a month and they laid me out for up to 3 days at a time. Even if a migraine only lasted 12 hours (unlikely) it would feel like recovering from a hangover or flu for at least a day after. I tried every medication under the sun.…

  • Just make sure the pickles don't have sugar.
  • I did squats today! My first real exercise since breaking my shoulder. (Not recommended by the way, totally sucks!) I also used weights for the first time at physical therapy today! So excited! I'm getting better! Firm bum, here I come!
  • I third the pics request! But more importantly, that's awesome that you figured out what works for you and have been so successful. Congrats.
  • I was never overweight as a kid even though I always thought I was. Lol youth. The ladies are a shell of their former glory I'm sad to say. No ragrets!
  • That's an awesome attitude! Thanks for sharing.
  • I'm no expert, but I do have days just like this. On low hunger days, I just eat less. But on hungry days, I eat what I need to feel satiated. It works for me. I like that I can listen to my body. My calories end up averaging out overall, and I would just sabotage myself if I let myself feel like I was hungry and not…
  • You lost 34 kgs! That's awesome. I'm right behind you at 32 kgs. :) Congrats on the progress and I think it's great that you're happy where you're at. That's my ultimate goal, really. And I'm not there yet. But I'm not giving up.
  • Another fun size person! I'm 2 cm taller than you. I rarely get to say I'm taller than anyone, forgive me. :) Now I want to have my frame measured! I've always assumed I have a small frame since I'm so short. Hm. Best of luck with the goals!
  • Sounds like a healthy attitude! I assume based on the building muscle comment that you're working out? I'm so jealous of people's gains! I want to trade my saggy behind for a firm one, lol. You've lost over 100 lbs! That's amazing. Congrats.
  • Yay! Another fun sized person. I'm just under five feet and I was happy with my body when I was 140 20 years ago. Now I'm 129 and... not so much. But eating this way has made weight loss pretty painless so I'll just keep keeping on. Best of luck with your goals!
  • I actually read something similar in a book, of course can't remember the name now. But supposedly, your body will build muscle all over if you build muscle in the biggest muscles. So like if you squat and build muscle in your thighs and glutes, your arms will build muscle too. Sounds too good to be true, but hey, worth a…
