I throw zucchini, onion, garlic, chili and tomatoes in a baking dish and lightly cover with passata, once cooked I top it with cottage cheese. Love it!

Bump - just to sit back at watch veg56 keep trying to ride the high horse she is on.

I cooked with them the other day for the first time in years. I baked them with cauliflower, onions and garlic coated in Moroccan seasoning, no oil, covered with foil initially then removed and allowed the veges to crunch up a bit. To serve I roll the vege mix (still hot) in a lettuce leaf with a splash of Tabasco and dunk…

...and now I'm craving macaroni and cheese.

This site really overestimates calories burned during exercise.

I am much the same, I can eat over 2000 calories a day and never feel satisfied. Oddly enough this is the same reason I find restricting easy - I am not going to feel unsatisfied if I eat a large meal vs something light so I eat enough not to have a grumbling tummy.

Being overweight is also self destructive. I wasn't aiming any of that comment directly at you personally, it's a generalisation of how a lot of people on here seem to think. I am not defending an unhealthy low calorie diet any more than people do with high calorie/excessive eating do. Overall I just don't like that double…

I love them in roast pumpkin salad - Roasted pumpkin with chili, salt and pepper (served hot) Baby spinach. Spanish onion. Walnuts (toasted) or Almonds. Either low fat cottage cheese or fat free french dressing.

Why is it totally acceptable to claim that people who are on low calorie diets have eating disorders? I could only imagine how butthurt people would be if my tag line was something along the lines of not accepting people who eat too much. I've deleted people who constantly *****ed about gaining weight yet continued to over…

This kind of desperation seems similar to people who take off a necklace and a hair band to hope the scales read what the hope for.

I am a very close in height (158cm) and build to you and have had exactly the same problem - put on weight starting during the holidays, cheat (...days,weeks, months...I stopped paying attention) by the time it hit the cold months I was nearly 5 kgs heavier than in November. I have never been big on exercise/outdoor…

I know exactly where you're coming from! I went from a very full 10C to a small 10B and have visible chest bones but alas the fairy eluded me to as my thighs need some work lol. I tend to look more 'pareish' when I lose weight (usually a hourglass) which is irritating !!

I don't how people don't add vegetables - they add up! I have read about diets where you can get as much veges as you want then count everything else...calories are calories regaurdless of where they come from and they will add up. If I

Exactly - cut back on calories. You may have gained muscle mass to explain weight - however if you are striving to lose pounds/kg/pounds than watch your calories. I lost roughly 6kg/13 pounds/1 stone from starting at 55kg (around 120 lbs) in three weeks just by paying attention .

I don't see why - I see it as progress, why would you eat more than you initially strive for because you went for a run? It's calories lost (calories in - out - simple). However it could be handy when you want a little more, you earn it then indulge a more than you initially planned without going over your initial count .

Haha, yes this ^ Unless you have a different perspective on 'accordingly'.

You're adults, act accordingly.

I have also found the opposite! I was a very heavy drinker and same as OP I could drink a bottle of red just to get started - I'd top it off with spirits or a few beers and although drunk was fully functional and could wake up and feel fine. Now (after cutting back significantly and eating under 700-800 cals a day) if I…

Maybe she meant that some overweight and obese people can suffer from malnutrition despite eating huge quantities? People really do love throwing around the term 'starvation mode' on these forums.

..is there a error in this site? I hit reply and it exits the page?....anyway.. I have never followed for been fully aware of what the Atkins diet is, I am assuming it it cutting pretty well all carbs? I have done this to a certain degree a couple of times and lost weight quite quickly. It's not easy though, as someone…

I was wondering how many women on here have target weights under 110 pounds? I had a started weight of 120 pounds which seams to he the goal weight of a lot of people. As an adult I have generally been on the average to light side of a healthy BMI however I have never calorie counted before so I am quite suprised at the…
