35 and no kids here. You sound just like me. Feel free to friend me.

Thanks for chiming in and giving me some meal/snack ideas

I know it's not suggested to count calories by paleo but yes. I don't want to eat too many nuts for example and not lose weight.
-
Thanks everyone. It's going to be tough but I want to get rid of this thing (had it for a year and a half already) so I'm motivated to do it.

Bueller?

Maybe height has something to do with it? My zumba instructor was even surprised. I showed her that I burned 200 calories in 60 minutes of her class (which is intense) and I was sweating, panting, making big movements, giving it my all. Thanks for posting your example. I suppose it makes sense.

That's a good question. Not really sure. Thanks for answering all. That's what I figured. Just wanted to know I wasn't alone. :)
-
Nope. they never end up matching. There is always a 100 calorie difference and my settings on MFP are: sedetary, lose 1 pound a week while my fit bit is set to lose 1 pound a week also. My weight is the same on each so I'm stumped?
-
Ok, sounds good to me! my fitness pal usually gives me more anyways. lol
-
I still don't understand mine (flex). All my settings match (1 pound a week, sedetary, etc.) for each site and I still end up with about a 100 calorie difference in what I have left to eat. Like right now, MFB says 800 and fitbit says 717. wtf?
-
as of right now, MFP says I have 431 calories left to eat and fitbit says 275. what the?... If I eat all of my MFP calories, it will say I'm over my calories in fitbit. I dunno. I'm starting to not like this thing. I checked my settings. They are accurate.
-
thanks all for the suggestions. I'll check my settings to see if they match
-
*According*

Thank you! OK, I guess I'm on the right track. I'm doing the same thing :)

Not trying to be a dink but weight watchers isn't a rampant diet and you don't order meals. You can actually eat whatever you want but instead of calories, they use "points". Same thing. I just didn't want to pay for it anymore. I can count calories instead of "points"

Chunkhotep...seriously. That is my only complaint about this site. They should have more options for entering foods.
-
Yeah, but when you work full time or are out and about weighing is not always an option.
-
I'm 4'11. Goal is 110. Everyone thinks that's crazy but for my height, it's the normal range.
-
Ah. cool...I've got it now. Super easy :)
-
Great, Thanks so much for your help.
-
Nevermind. I think I have it. 100 (1 cup) divided by 4 is .25 for a 1/4 cup.
-
Thank you. This is going to make me sound dumb but is there a Food converter somewhere? Math is not my strong suit. Once I have them in my head for a couple weeks, I'll be ok. I just want to make sure I'm not overeating or not eating enough. If there is one thing I learned from WW, portion sizes make a BIG difference.
-
Thanks all. You have given me hope and motivation for this site. Excited to start and chat with you all as we go through the weight loss journey together.
-
The only thing I am going to miss is my zero points for fruits and veggies..LOL but hey, I guess it's good to watch the calories on those too.
-
Funny...I'm comparing my points (haven't cancelled WW just yet) to myfitnesspal today. According to WW, I have 3 points left and I have 347 calories left here. Does this seem right?
-
Thank you :) Yes. We WILL do it!
