My gym program was set by the instructor and I told him I wanted to increase cardio & start losing weight, so I do 15mins treadmill, 15 mins resistance machines, 15 mins cross trainer, which I do once a week, twice if I can. But I also started doing an hour at circuits for over 50's (silver circuits) plus an hour walk each…

I have arthritis in my knees and struggled with cardio for ages but I used a reclining stationary bike (where your feet are in front of you rather than below you!) so there was no weight bearing on the knees and I could take the pace as slow as I needed to, simply to get them moving, but swimming is best as it is non…

I reckon so long as you're under your calories it's okay! If you deprive yourself of 'bad' foods you'll start craving them more & overdo it, so little & often does work :-)

Sounds like you need to build up your core muscles slowly, maybe some pilates? But do seek the advice of a qualified trainer as it has to be done right! But pilates is great for building up core strength which in turn will help with stability for other exercise. Good Luck :smile:

If I'm using a recipe I always do the full thing & freeze portions (only 2 of us here), also I use the slow cooker a lot even though I don't work as I can put it on & forget about it. I find that really helps. My daughter lives on her own & always batch cooks so she has a freezer full of cooked meals to reheat Good Luck Di
