Congratulations! Wooo hooo! I'm excited for you and can't wait to do it myself! I'm just waiting to hear about my insurance approval then we set a date! So glad things went smoothly for you!

Don't know about the insurance, but it's exciting that you're scheduled for your surgery! I should be pretty close to that since my surgeon's office is submitting to my insurance now as well! Will keep my fingers crossed that nothing happens to flub up your date!!
-
That must feel great! Congratulations! I don't even remember the last time I weighed that!
-
Hi James! Welcome! You've found a great resource here at MFP! I'm pre-op for gastric bypass surgery, hoping to get a date in September! Good luck to you!
-
Welcome Dee! I'm Jo. I can relate to a couple of the things you talked about. You're very brave to share your story with everyone. I haven't done that and can't see me doing it anytime soon. It's wonderful that you've got such a supportive significant other! I'm glad you're getting back on track and losing the weight…

Welcome Phill! I'm pre-op for gastric bypass, probably in September if all goes well. I can relate to the difficulty getting activity in as I've got bad knees! Hoping that gets a lot better after some weight loss. Good luck to you on this journey!

Pat, you changed your profile pic! Love the new pic!

Wow Crystal, 105 lbs in 4 and a half months!! That's crazy! How are you feeling? Congrats on your huge loss and welcome to the forum!

That might be a good idea! We all have our own issues with food....that's how we got like this. Like madmags, I agree that this list sounds like minor inconveniences, especially when compared to your overall health and well being. Have you tried Tylenol instead of NSAIDS? I no longer take NSAIDS because of decreased…

Glad to hear things are moving along for you! Sorry to hear about your plantar fasciitis but hopefully you'll be feeling better after your surgery. I had plantar fasciitis years ago but mine resolved without surgery, thankfully. Good luck to you on your continuing journey!

I'm glad your appointment went so well! I bet it's nice to know when your surgery is going to happen! I'm really happy for you!
-
Good point! I am being considerate of those around me by not dragging them into my obsession, lol!

I'm in Lancaster, OH....it's near Columbus!

I'm still pretty much a newbie here too! Like Roxy, I am 2 months into my 3 month certification process. My doctor's office can submit to insurance the middle of August! It's really exciting and I'm obsessing about everything related to RNY!
-
My tests showed H. Pylori too! I went through a course of antibiotics so I hope it's all cleared up. I imagine my next labs will show it's gone.
-
Hi Meg and welcome! I'm finding this is a great place to go for inspiration and support! I'm still pre-op RNY. I'm a little confused though. Are you not tracking what you eat? How do you know if you're getting in enough protein and water and such?

Go to the Gastric ByPass/VSG/LapBand group forum. They're very understanding and supportive and you'll get lots of accurate, up to date information! I'm getting gastric bypass as well, hopefully in 1-2 months.
-
Thank you all! I think I'm going to order me one from Amazon!
-
Hi Tartan and welcome! I'm pretty new here myself. I'll have RNY in a couple months. Sounds like you've got this well in hand with the planning and such. Good luck to you!
-
I don't have any advice for you since I'm still basically a newbie and pre RNY. But, I wanted to wish you good luck with your surgery and hope all goes smoothly for you. Congratulations on being so close to starting your new journey!
-
Yay! Congratulations on being post-op! I'm glad everything went well for you and wish you continued good health!

Thanks for sharing the article! It was awesome!

Glad to hear things are looking up for you! I'm planning for my surgery date to be around September as well! Good luck to you with this new doctor!

Thank you all for your input! I think I"ll continue to do my strengthening exercises 3 times a week and jump on the treadmill when I'm feeling up to it. I suffer from depression and isolate myself at home, so going to a gym or the ymca would be really difficult for me and I know I just wouldn't do it. Otherwise, I'd love…

Congratulations on starting the process! I also have just begun the process leading up to RNY gastric bypass. I had my first appointment with the doctor 3 weeks ago and was told it would be 3 months before they could submit to my insurance for the surgery! I'm very excited as I'm sure you are! Best of luck to you!
