What a great post and HURRAH for Stubborn Sue! :flowerforyou: I had a small experience of Stubborn Mandy a couple of days ago and she is awesome! I didn't feel like walking but SM said: Just DO IT! It felt a bit like I was dragging myself around the circuit and the whole way my weaker side was whining and trying to…

Big change! You look great and, perhaps more to the point, you look really healthy. Job well done. :flowerforyou:

Wow! What a difference those 41 lbs make! You're looking great and it sounds like you feel great too. Congratulations! :flowerforyou:

17 lbs is a great beginning. Good on you. :flowerforyou: I read success stories every morning for motivation and inspiration. And I have learnt a lot from reading them too. I've totally changed my workouts on the basis of what I've discovered in these pages.

Wow! You look fantastic! Congratulations :flowerforyou: Bad relationships always made me lose weight ... maybe I need to hook up with a bad man!

Great results! Good for you! :flowerforyou: I'm on week 1 so no results yet ... (to be continued)

Yay! Me too! Hurrah for beginning runners! I started c25k last week but didn't do it properly so I'm doing week one again this week - day 1 yesterday. It's the first time I have run, by choice, in my entire life! And I didn't hate it.

I've always had "chub rub", even when I was tiny and extremely fit. There's something else going on here though and it's all to do with money. No one had even heard of a "thigh gap" until recently. It's just the latest thing that's being touted to make us insecure and dissatisfied with our bodies. You wait - it won't be…

Hurrah! Well done. :flowerforyou:

I LOVE reading stories like yours! The changes in your health are awesome and incredibly inspiring. And, I may be an older woman but I know HOT when I see it! :flowerforyou:

Thanks for the link. It looks very useful, particularly if you're travelling.

I started the Convict Conditioning progressions 3 weeks ago - step 1 of the 4 starter moves. At first they seemed too easy but when I got back to focussing on form, timing and breathing correctly I could feel that my body is working. It's not difficult yet but I know I am conditioning my joints and I'm already slightly…

That's something! I did the same. :flowerforyou:

That's huge! 11 lbs is 11 lbs! And if this is what is going to continue to motivate you it sure seems like a win to me! This is what's called an NSV - Non-scale victory. Hurrah! Congratulations :flowerforyou:

I had a very similar experience in a different context. Someone I talked to at the time gave me a wonderful metaphor to help me come to grips with the changes I was undergoing. She said: "Imagine yourself as a rose bush, and the parts of you that have "died" were the old flowers. They were beautiful but their time was…

Wow! Tears. I've seen your before and after photos here on the boards - that red dress is a total standout - and was horrified to read your back story. After all you've been through, you are a survivor! You're still here with your positive attitude, still working at being a healthier you. That makes you some kind of…

Great job! :flowerforyou:

Well done! You look great and you look like you FEEL great too. :drinker: Cheers from a fellow Aussie.

39 pounds lost in 4 months - all while dealing with the disruption and sleeplessness of a new baby! That's a win, right there! :flowerforyou:
-
What a wonderful moment for you! I was doing pilates today and saw myself in the mirror while I was doing an exercise and I was blown away by the change in my thighs - MUCH smaller and better toned. I still have cellulite so I can't even imagine how over-the-moon you must have felt. Great NSV - a just reward for your…

What a change. You look 10 years younger! Well done, you. :flowerforyou:
-
Another amazing transformation! You look like a (pretty hot) friend of mine. Well done! :drinker:
-
What a phenomenal transformation! You must be feeling pretty pleased with yourself. Brilliant! :drinker: ETA: Look at those abs!!!
-
WOW! Congratulations to both of you. Amazing! :drinker:
-
OMG your waist is TINY! Your transformation is fabulous and ... I hope this isn't too personal ... you have the cutest backside ever!
-
OMG! You've transformed from a chubby middle-aged bloke to a handsome young man! You sure there's been no magic involved? Just joking - you look GREAT! :drinker:

The inability to cross my legs was one of the things that first motivated me to start losing weight. Throughout the stage of the top leg sliding off the bottom one I turned a blind eye to it, but when I just couldn't do it at all anymore I started to get motivated! I can cross my legs again now and it makes me idiotically…

It's hard for people who aren't trying to lose weight to understand this journey. Food, and the sharing of it, is so much part of the social fabric of most cultures. I'd encourage you to sit your bf down and explain to him what you're attempting and why it's important to you. If he continues to insist afterwards then, I'm…
