Hi Yes! I'm a brit. I'm 46 and I have 4 kids (youngest just turned 5). I'm 5'5 and started at 202lbs in June. I'm now 188. Last year I started at 209 and got down to 168 by counting calories and moving more but my depression kicked in and I lost my focus. Back at it now though - got to keep trying! Plenty of threads on…

1000 calories isn't enough. Try and eat a little more and maybe you wouldn't feel so hungry at night. Fill up on tons of veg and salad in the evening to tide you over 'til morning. Eating nutrient dense foods is better. If you're still hungry, get something to eat. I find if I'm hungry and I don't eat I end up binging and…

1. I am 46 and have been in a relationship for 24 years though we've only recently got back together. We have 4 children and live in the UK. 2. Today's scale shows 186 (from 202 at the start of June). I've been on MFP since Jan 2011; my longest using it was last year when I managed to get down to 167 (My lowest adult…

Congratulations and welcome to the first day of your new life! You have done brilliantly. That little bit of movement and calorie deficit is all it takes now that you have made that huge and all important conclusion about how you got here and what you can do about it. More importantly, as you pointed out, you are at the…

Hi all, I'm 45 and been overweight all of my adult life. I have tried lots of different diets but this time I'm just following my own plan. I've cut out most of my processed foods - I still have them occasionally - and I'm trying to exercise more. I want to improve my health, reduce some of the aches and pains I get now…

If it's wrong on mfp, you can always look it up and correct it. I tend to double check all foods I add for the first time and edit if it's wrong - it helps other mfpers as well as not having tons of entries for the same food. I also confirm the entry if it's correct. I get the information from either the packet or the…
