Thank you for this. Today was my first day eating less than 30 grams of carbs. And I am full. I like your idea though, but expect the one minded commenters to say something about your fasting tip :)

Thank you. Contrary to what is said, I actually did research this thoroughly. My posting in this thread was more of a deceleration so that I am now held to what I said I was going to do. It's my way of taking ownership.

Thankyou. I was actually considering going longer for 2 weeks; I am so determined to lose weight and have heard such positive things from people who have adopted this as a lifestyle. But if after 2 -4 weeks I cannot maintain then I will try CICO. Cheers

2 weeks is supposed to put your body in a state of Ketosis so your fat stores are used for energy instead of carbs. I don't know how this going to work, I just know I have been restricting but w/out the desired results. So.. I'm trying something different. Cheers

Feel free to add me too. I totally get where you are coming from. I avoid looking at myself in the mirror because of how I look and feel. I was a Size 3, now a Size 12-14 in the course of 3 years. I feel like I'm in mourning. At 170 lbs, my goal is to lose 40lbs. I know what it takes, but just need to be consistent.

The keyword being typically.... you can typically burn 10 calories a minute. 10x20= 200

Hello Carey125, It depends on what you are doing and what your calorie intake is. As you know, you have to create a 3500 calorie deficit to lose 1lb a week. How you create that deficit is entirely up to you. 250 exercise and 250 less calories than your body needs to maintain your weigh, or.... 500 less calories. I don't…
