Since my Garmin training plan only shows me 1 week in advance, I have no idea about mileage. My goal will be to complete all 16 training runs for the month.
-
Today’s training run was 30 minutes at 11:13-12:13 pace with warmup and cooldown. My average pace during the 30 minutes was 11:17. Total of 3.19 miles. See you in November!

This morning I ran the Trek or Treat 10K. It is a pretty hilly course. Temps were in the low 50s, so it was perfect for running. It wasn’t my best 10K, but I did place 3rd in my age group, so I got a medal! I also met up with someone from my local SRTT running group, and she placed 2nd in the same age group. A lot of…

Glad you were cleared to do a test run @quilteryoyo! Tonight’s run was 20 minutes at an 11:13-12:13 pace. With warmup and cooldown, I got 2.28 miles. Saturday I am running a 10K that I do every Halloween. It raises money for a group that helps to support families of children with cancer. Everyone wears costumes or…

Today’s plan called for 10 min run at 11:13-11:23 mi/min, with abs optional additional 10 minutes. I had planned to do the whole thing because 10 minutes doesn’t feel like I’m doing much, but I was late getting to the gym due to a phone call and only had time to do the 10 min with warmup and cooldown before my kickboxing…

No run today, but I did take the pups for a walk this evening. I have a busy week of travel and site visits every day, so I hope I sleep better tonight than I have been. I’m going to work on the blanket I’m crocheting tonight. It looks SO pretty, and I hope to have it finished within the week.

Great job! @katharmonic! I love the medal!

Today's scheduled run called for 50 minutes at an 11:32-12:33min/mile pace, plus 5 minute warm up and cool down. My average pace during the 50 minute run was 11:37. I ran 4.88 miles. Afterwards, I walked the dogs for about .5 miles (they are old and that is about all they can handle). Nice weather too - mid 50s!
-
@ContraryMaryMary That stinks that you’ll be in lockdown so long. Your cake looks amazing though! Coach Greg had me run 20 minutes at 11:32-12:32 min/mile pace with warm up and cool down. I kept an average 11:40 pace. I ended up walking afterwards for awhile to get some more distance.
-
Coach Greg had me run at an 11:32-12:32 pace today, which feels sooooo slow. My watch kept telling me to slow down. We’ll see how this training plan goes. I’m sure I’ll eat my words in a few weeks.

@AlphaHowls I’m sorry to hear about your mother. She has been very lucky to have you caring for her. @quilteryoyo So sorry you are feeling bad, but it sounds like you’re taking it easy. I hope you feel better soon. I decided that I am going to focus on improving half marathon time for now and then go for improved time for…

Great job @scott6255! I didn't realize Peachtree City had a 15K. I'm about an hour away from there, so that might be a race I try out in the future. I ran 4 miles this morning. It was in the 40s and felt so nice! I'm really trying to figure out if I want to run the Atlanta Marathon in February or if I want to focus on…

For everyone who has been dealing with health issues, I hope all of you recover quickly. Being sick is no fun. Thursday I could leave for work a little later than normal, so I went out around 6:30 and ran 2 miles, then came back and did some brief arm and ab exercises. I really don’t like running when it is so dark, but it…

@polskagirl01 Hope your leg feels better soon! I like bright shoe colors. I have had tie-dye shoes and green plaid shoes. The crazier, the better. I do try to get them on sale when I can. No run today. I walked on the indoor track at the gym for 1.6 miles before my Pump class.
-
I did hill repeats this evening. The part of the hill I ran was about 140m, so I sprinted up and jogged down four times, plus did a warm up and cool down.

Great job, @RunsOnEspresso! I know a solo marathon is tough. My last marathon was cancelled in March 2020 at the last minute due to COVID, so I ran mine virtually too, and it is definitely a different and tougher experience. You rock! @katharmonic New shoes are exciting! Can’t wait to see them.
-
Great race report, @polskagirl01! Sounds like you trained well for a challenging race! I ran a virtual 5K this morning and then did some ab work. The weather here is finally starting to get a little cooler, so I hope to have pleasant temps for my runs soon.

Hey guys. I’m back after being MIA for quite awhile. Life has thrown a lot at me - new job with new schedule, dad in and out of the hospital, hubby getting ready for extended work travel - and I have been very all over the place with running and diet. I think things are more settled now, and I’m ready to get back in a…

I have managed to get in short workouts before work four days in a row. I have hoped doing so would help improve my mood and energy during the day. Still waiting on that, haha. I also managed to get 2.5 miles Monday night, 2 miles and Body Pump Tuesday, and a short dog walk and Kickboxing last night. I know next week will…
-
I ran 2 miles last night after walking the dogs (vet says one of them needs to lose weight, so I am increasing our walks). I also did a workout video before work yesterday.
-
I’m 13 pages behind, so I’m not even going to try to catch up on that. Work has been bad all around lately, and it is only going to get worse over the next few months with staffing. I anticipate I will be working more and on call a lot more, so the only goal I am going to set is to do some sort of run or exercise 3x/week.…

2.3 miles last night, plus a short walk with the dogs and some ab work. That Possum Kingdom medal is awesome!
-
@Avidkeo, pretty pictures! @HonuNui I’m so jealous of all of the beautiful marine life. @rheddmobile That is a crazy amount of deer! @RunsOnEspresso Great job!! You’re awesome! It has been a pretty stressful week. I have an interview for the promotion position coming up, but I feel kind of guilty because if I get it and…

I ran a little over 2 miles last night and then did some an work. I am pretty frustrated with myself because I weighed yesterday and have put back on about 12 lbs since the holidays. I need to refocus so that it doesn’t go up any more.
-
Great job to everyone who had races or long runs this weekend! Saturday, I had my RIPPED class, and then my friends and I participated in another of those live Clue-type murder mystery games. We walked about 3.5 miles around downtown during the game. Yesterday, I ran 3 miles but spent much of the rest of the day studying…

I haven’t run in a few days, but I’ve done body pump, a pop up kickboxing class, and some walking, so I haven’t been lazy either. For all of you with injuries or not feeling well, I hope you all recover quickly soon. Welcome to our newbies! I’ll post more this weekend when I have more time.
-
@martaindale Awesome pictures! Glad you guys are enjoying your hiking. @katharmonic Hope your back feels better soon. Yesterday, I walked a couple of miles after work and did some ab exercises. I was pretty tired for some reason, but of course then I had so much trouble falling asleep.
-
I ran my St. Patty’s 10k yesterday. The weather was sunny and about 55F when I started. I ran at a comfortable pace and finished right at my normal 10k time. My calf didn’t bother me at all during the run, but it sure is sore now. I’ve been massaging and rolling it, and I try to drink a lot of water daily, so I wonder if…
-
Yesterday, I attended my RIPPED class and then did 3.5 mile run/walk after (I got a phone call during, so I walked to take it). Night before last, I woke up to an awful cramp in my right calf. I stretched and massaged it, and it was fine yesterday morning, but last night and this morning, it is so tight and sore. I really…

@pfeiferlindsey Good luck on your upcoming race! @ContraryMaryMary Good luck on today’s race!!! @katharmonic I’m happy your running group was able to help you push to your goal. @skippygirlsmom Take it easy with the walking, and you’ll be back to normal in no time! @HonuNui My husband and I went to Tallin, Estonia a couple…
