  • Pretty shoes, @polskagirl01! Great job on your race, @rheddmobile! It was beautiful and 75F yesterday afternoon, so I broke out the shorts and blessed my neighbors with my pasty white legs and my new plaid Brooks!
  • Yesterday was my body pump class, but I got in a mile on the treadmill before class started. We have great weather this week, so I am looking forward to the rest of my runs.
  • @Camaramandy648 and @martaindale Great job on your races! Sorry you had stomach cramps, @martaindale, but you rocked it anyway. Mileage is low right now due to life, but I ran 2 miles last night and did some an work. I’m going to run a virtual St. Patty’s 10k this weekend and wear my new awesome green shoes!
  • The weather was sunny and in the mid 60s yesterday afternoon, so I ran 3 miles after meal prepping for the week. It looks like we might be in the 80s by next weekend.
  • @Scott6255 Sorry your run didn’t go well. Maybe it was fuel like others said, or maybe just your body saying it needed some extra rest that day. @quilteryoyo Cute puppies! @shanaber Glad Hobbes is feeling better! My friend and I decided to do the 5k cross country route after body pump yesterday. Maybe we missed a turn or…
  • @Good luck today, @martaindale! @rheddmobile Great race report! Hope you have an enjoyable work weekend, @Avidkeo. Migraines kept me from doing much of anything Wednesday or Thursday, but I took yesterday off work and got in two miles after I got home from visiting my parents for the day. I have body pump this morning, but…
  • So glad you were able to go for a run @quilteryoyo!
  • @shanaber Good news for you, and I’m glad Hobbes is better! @hanlonsk Great pictures! Awful headache yesterday, I’m thinking from the pollen, although I’m not sneezing or congested really. No workout last night. Taking tomorrow off since I accumulated so much extra time on call, so I can get in a good run then.
  • Happy Birthday @Camaramandy648! Congrats on the job. Glad your appointment went well, @quilteryoyo! Worked late yesterday, then worked more when I got home, so no running last night. Today is supposed to be a rest day, so I will try to do yesterday’s workout tonight. One more day of being on call...
  • Ran 2 miles last night after working late. It was almost dark, so I pushed hard to get it done quickly. I love the commentary on everyone’s names, and the ideas I’ve had for everyone pretty much match up to what has been in my head. I wish now I’d come up with a more unique name. Happy Birthday, @kirstymn! 2/50 miles
  • Welcome @happyness4me and @OneMooreMile! Starting out the morning with my planned ST before work, and then I’ll run tonight when I get home.
  • Happy belated birthday, @Tramboman! Cool picture, @HonuNui!
  • @hanlonsk Congrats on the new job! I hope all goes smoothly over the next month for you. I think I mentioned last month that I am trying to find a fall marathon. I created a rough plan for the next six months, so medium mileage right now but some additional strength training and cross training over March and April and then…
  • After I got home from work yesterday, I managed to get in 3 miles and a short walk with the dogs. It was sunny and 75F, so very nice, a little too warm even. The cherry blossom trees are starting to bloom, so it is very pretty outside. My city has the most Yoshino cherry trees outside of Japan, and we have a big festival…
  • Well, I know what band I’ll be listening to on the way to work today! Love me some Radiohead. @rheddmobile I’m glad you weren’t hurt too bad during your lift. Be careful! @skippygirlsmom Yay for the cast being off! @Avidkeo, I’d definitely get checked out to make sure nothing is really wrong. @shanaber Hope you get good…
  • Last night was body pump, so I just got in a little over a mile on the treadmill before class. The weather here is going to be in the 70s for the next few days. I go on call starting tomorrow, but hopefully, I will have a little time to get out for at least some sort runs.
  • I need everyone with recent slips and falls to be careful!! I don’t remember what day I last updated, but I did some strength training and a little over 3 miles Sunday, and yesterday I got in 2 easy miles. A friend and I are trying to find a fall marathon. I’m going to start a slow training progression as if I have one for…
  • Thinking positive thoughts for all of you dealing with the snow that no one loses power and that it warms up quickly for you. Tuesday, I got in a mile before my body pump class, and yesterday I walked a little under 3 miles while talking on the phone to a friend. We are contemplating another marathon, even though I swore…
  • Race Report: Fortunately, the weather was not 20 degrees and snowing as predicted a week ago. It ended up being 40 degrees and raining, which isn’t terrible. The Museum of Aviation 5k/Half/Marathon/Handcycle Race starts at the Museum of Aviation and then goes onto Robins AFB. I was familiar with a lot of the base because…
  • An email came out about my half marathon tomorrow that since we are running in a military base, they are requiring all runners to wear masks for the entire race. Initially, we had to wear them to start and then put on at the finish line. Everyone is more than aggravated about the last minute change. I am totally fine with…
  • Welcome @TheMinx89! @quilteryoyo I’m so glad you’ve been able to get in so much walking! @katharmonic Hope you feel better soon! I ran 2.2 miles around the neighborhood last night. The weather forecast of course keeps changing for Saturday’s race. It looks like it is going to be rainy and in the high 40s. I’ve run in that…
  • No running this last two days, as I have had to work late, but I did go to my body pump class last night. Too tired and hungry to run after though.
  • I ran 8 and walked 2 miles yesterday. It was in the 30s while I ran, but it was a pretty, sunny day and didn’t feel too bad. I had planned to get in a mile before work, but my second toe on my left foot hurts a bit, so I will hold off until tonight to make sure it feels better.
  • Took yesterday off and got in a 4 mile run in the morning. Thanks for all of the input about dressing my the half. I wasn’t so worried about the temps but more so about the snow. I’ll email the race directors to see what the plan is for the roads.
  • My HM isn’t until the 13th, so I know the forecast may change, but as of now, it is still predicting snow that day, but also frozen mix the day before. The race is on the Air Force base, so I wonder if there is a chance they may salt the roads...I do have trail shoes I could wear that have more grip, but I don’t know how…
  • Guys, they are currently predicting a 70% chance of snow here in middle Ga on the day of my half marathon. If it looks like that is going to be correct, I’m going to need some help figuring out how to dress for that, seeing as we only get snow here every few years, and I have never run in it! 😬
  • Thanks to everyone for the birthday wishes! I ended up working late yesterday due to some emergencies, but my staff fed me lots of donuts and cupcakes to keep me going. I ate soooo poorly, but calories on your birthday, don’t count, right? Good thing I’m a young 21 (for the 17th time). If I get off work at a reasonable…
  • I started off the month with a 3 mile treadmill run last night. I have decided to do a mini-strength challenge for the month. It is my 38th birthday, so each day I am going to do a brief set of arm/leg/ab exercises with 38 reps for each. This is in addition to the classes I already do, just something to bump it up…
  • Welcome to all of the new members!
  • My goal for this month is to complete my half without injury and to enjoy it. Ideally, I’d like to finish between 2:15-2:30. Hubby and I will also continue to work towards the Run the Year challenge. I have run two fulls, but I got so burned out with training for the second one and really didn’t enjoy it as much as my…
