We had to have separate cupboards in the kitchen. I've got some kind of mental block that if it's in his cupboard I can't eat, as it's not mine. Out of sight, out of mind is such a true concept to me. Biscuits and cakes have to be kept in tins, not out for me to see. It seems mad but it works for me.

I found 'outing' myself as a binge eater to my husband helped me the most. He had no idea (as I hid it really well) and made me try to vocalise what happens. Saying it all outloud to someone made a massive difference and made me realise the control lied solely with me - not with food. Sit down and listen to your body.…

I bought a Zip last June and have barely stopped walking since!

I'm just shy of 5ft 6. Highest weight: 210lbs. Lowest weight: 142lbs. I don't like looking back at the 142lbs photos as I look a little too thin for my height/build, but that's just me. I'm currently 178lbs, trying to get to 168lbs. To me, that's when I look my best.

THIS! I'm pale but GODDAMNIT I look young!

You cannot out-exercise a bad diet.

Do not reward yourself with food; you're not a dog.

Mine's open to friends, feel free to add me.

This was going to be my suggestion too. I'm terrible for eating fruit (I prefer vegetables any day) so adding some to a smoothie and drowning it in spinach works a treat for me!

I think it's the simplicity of green smoothies that makes it a great addition to my diet. Mine tend to top out at around 300 cals. I'm rubbish at eating lunch when I'm at work, so a big green smoothie made the night before, put it into a big jar and then store it in the fridge at work - works perfectly for my lunch. I…

I watched Forks over Knives yesterday and that was such an eyeopener. I'm terrible for negating plant-based foods from my diet so this has really given me a kick up the backside.

I don't think I've ever had a 'physical' type. I like my men intelligent, funny and creative, I think that's all the characteristics I've ever fallen for. If they've got beautiful eyes then that just happens to be a bonus.

I could not eat all mine back every day, it would be a struggle. I just eat as and when I'm hungry and aim for a good gross total for my height and weight.
-
Given that I've only just started wearing mine pretty much full time, I can appreciate this thread!

I lost my biggest chunk of weight by just watching what I ate and walking everyday. In fact it was such a successful system for me that I'm currently doing it again five years later (with the help of a Fitbit). It's a slow but a very steady loss. I tend to drop 1lb every two weeks, but it's working and I don't feel like…

My husband generally thinks I'm a bit crackers when it comes to eating. He's seen me go through ever diet, get seriously thin and put weight back on a little too. He never really worries about what he shoves in his mouth - daily crisps and chocolate bars? You bet. Mid-week large pizza dinner? Sure. It used to KILL me. All…

This. I've lost over 70lbs, I have stretch marks (albeit fading) and a little loose skin on my tummy. Has a man ever commented on it? Nope! In fact, men have never said anything but great things about my body, all the negative stuff has come from my own head (how dumb is that?).

THIS. I get so hacked off sometimes about going up and down the same 4lbs and immediately throw a 'it's not fair / not working' strop. Then I man up, readdress my deficit and boom ... it starts to come off again.

I make a huge pot of something on a Sunday afternoon and use that all week for lunches. This week it was thai yellow chicken curry (essentially chicken, vegetables, a spoonful of thai yellow paste and vegetable stock). I occasionally throw a boiled egg in there too. Breakfast is homemade too - usually soya yoghurt, frozen…

I use it twice a day to moisturise my face, my skin has never been clearer!

I brought Malteasers, I'm in for the long haul.

If you're 5ft 6 you're about the same height as me, and you have awesome curves, so I'd go with around 12 stones (168-172).

As with everything with diets and fitness there is no 'one size fits all'. I tried 5:2, didn't enjoy it, found it very hard and didn't lose any weight on it. I wrote my friend a weightloss program based around it last year and he's had tremendous success on it, is now at his lowest weight in his adult life and can manage…

Also a Londoner, I'll add you. :)

Your waist is TINY! I hope you wear lots of waist-cinch style belts to show that off! :D I'd guess a 10/12 top and a 14/16 bottom.

I did a post about this on my blog today! I just bought the first swimsuit that I've owned in YEARS and I actually like the way I look in it! http://www.alsfoodandfitness.com/2013/05/body-image-swimsuit-edition.html

The one thing I'll say about your thirties is that you feel a lot happier with your lot in life and far more confident in yourself. Albeit I am thankful that I got married right on the cusp of turning 30/31 and was therefore able to get into a tiny wedding dress. Haha. Anyway, adds welcome. :)

In the UK - Skippy. Failing that the Waitrose Organic is pretty nice too. If you can get to a Whole Foods - PB & Co Old Fashioned - it's just peanuts and a little bit of salt.

Bumped because this comment has the most useful explanation ever of how this device works (thank you!).

Say hello to my little friends - the jar of peanut butter and a spoon.
