Much success on your weight loss journey. :flowerforyou: I tried to send some friends requests, but if I missed you, feel free to add me. My diary is open and I post everyday...although my diet can be eclectic at times  God bless. Severine

Oh, one other thing...buy a food scale. It will help with ensuring you are not eating more than you think. This YouTube video details why a food scale is so important. Good luck. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TGcdyfDM3oQ

At 5'7", my waist should be 33.5. At 37 currently, I guess I should be able to whittle it down to 33.5 when I get to goal weight.

I record my weight on MFP on Mondays only. I take my waist, bust, and hip measurements once every 6 weeks or so. However, I have a phone app that I use to record and track my weight daily. This is my indicator to make adjustments if I am trending upwards before my next MFP recording day.

Eat what you LOVE...in moderation. Many people give up on their weight loss goals because they deprive themselves then go back to gorging. This journey is not about deprivation. It is about portion control...we eat much much more than our body needs with all the super size this and that we do. So now you have to scale back…

Keep in mind the changes you are making are LIFESTYLE changes. If you are NEVER going to eat bread again, then cut out bread. Why cut it out if that's what you enjoy? Moderation is key. This journey is really about MINDSET more than anything else. Someone shared the message below with me and I want to pass it on to you. If…

I decided that since this is a LIFESTYLE change for me, I'd do something I can stick with for life so I choose walking as my preferred method of exercise. It's free too which was the clinker for me. I'll go to a gym that doesn't have long term contracts occasionally for a few months when I feel like adding that to…

Here is something a fitness guru shared with me: If you want to lose weight permanently: You have to live a healthy LIFESTYLE. Meaning, don't go on a diet. Don't start an exercise plan. You have to formulate a lifestyle with healthy eating and some activity that you know you can stick to for the rest of your life. Don't…

I have been doing cooked all along. But then I overestimate calories eaten and underestimate calories burned as a habit so I think it evens out for me. I think if you are consistent in whichever method you choose, you should do fine.

I'm in. Had a muscle tear and didn't do any walking for over a month. Trying to build back up to 5 miles per day so this is right up my alley!
