Alright...I'm in. That's the 1st time I've heard of a common new journey day! Love it

It's a must-have. my type-I diabetic son ended up hospitalized for several days last year after he was exposed to someone with it. thank you for those responsible enough to get vaccinated.
-
another seemingly twin (but prob twice your age)...that needs to do the same the cooler weather just makes me want to snuggle up and sleep in, too. :noway: I must have put on a good 10lb since vacation. Was at the same weight back in August, as well...would love to see 130s. I love Zumba and BodyPump... Any new ideas?

BRAVO! you are so brave and of such inspiration...it's amazing to hear a story like yours and realize that the most of us have it so much easier, and for that, we should be very thankful and motivated to change our lives :flowerforyou:

The only reason I would ever rejoin a gym would be for the access to weight lifting classes...ie. BodyPump. Personally, I get a better workout at home bec' I push myself so much harder here. Think seriously about lifting significant weights with a trainer...more jilian/zumba probably won't do it for the last bit. hope this…

I prefer to weigh in twice a week on consecutive days and take the more realistic #.

chalupas...yum

got it last X-mas, love it! after 2-yrs of paying out the wazoo for classes, I have to say it's worth the investment. you really have to work through the levels...I did w/in a couple of months...and it gives you several options to choose from, so it's not the same old boring workout tape. get ready to sweat, and don't give…

1k is a great way for me to start a new program...thx

so many great posts...I've had good success keeping my calorie intake around 1400. Good foods, esp veggie soups and almonds, kept me from too many cheats. after about a year I had to zig zag my intake to keep up my focus. it has to be something we can carry through the long haul, otherwise those old unhealthy habits creep…

you're in the right place...it's great to have you...keep up that wonderful attitude :flowerforyou:

Author unknown: The road to success is dotted with many tempting parking places. I hear ya....you never fail until you quit.
-
mostly I think about not falling down  and keeping outta the mirror reflection...that'll zap my momentum in an instant :embarassed:
-
(for my t1 son) I exchange the pasta/rice for salad/yogurt...it really works to keep him from crashing. snacks are usu veggies sausage or jerky when his numbers are w/in target and its late in the day. fiber & water, naturally
-
don't over think it...just do what works the old fashion way
-
Be brave and do one thing completely out of character for yourself! Learn to play the guitar/piano or take a risky class/course...even belly dancing or line dancing...break out of yourself. I believe in you!
-
yes...mini golf perhaps just watch the sunset with ice cream the hubs and I love to people watch and make up their story...nice at the mall, but hands-down better @ Wal-Mart! if yall do go to Wally World, make certain to go down the Halloween aisle and push all the dancing goblin buttons at once...too funny.

Chalupas were always my go-to when pinched: crispy tostada (flat) refried beans (ff) salsa salad fixin's a top Main thing I focused on was sticking to a menu, which helped immensely! Basketti Mondays (pasta/sauce) Two for Tuesdays (soup/sandwich) Welfare Wednesday (no meat, no dessert/snacks) Thrifty Thursday (left-overs)…

Sometimes my system needs a shock, so I do a 180 on the types of foods I consume. Lots of fiber, water, and no take-out or cokes. Throw in some significant weight training and intervals and your body can only surrender! I really works...esp for those of us who have been walking around in the ol' bod for some time! Try not…
-
It sure does work! Aside from significant weights, I generally focus on high intervals....It's tough, but it's pretty quick and very effective.
-
25lbs in 5 months and really focused, then I realized that could drop faster and get leaner in half the time using seriously weights! BodyPump, in particular...that was life changing for me.
-
I completely get it...iced, and esp hot tea :drinker: Had to force myself to seriously cut down after some serious kidney problems.... Eat first...that seemed to change the taste and by all means switch to low-cal sweetener (quarter pack)...that'll definitely reduce your sweet tooth....sorry  Get plenty of water…

It's poison, it's poison I tell ya.... great post, true.

:smooched:

Plan and plan again Natalie  You'll find a few great seasonal foods you can switch out, just count everything...and what ever you do, stay away from all those amazing eats!   Run early a.m. with lots of water You're in a great place here :flowerforyou:

power yoga/pilates really strengthens the core...just the extra bit seems to pull things in an extra bit
-
Yea...I wanna move my *kitten* too...120 for July
-
same here...ha ha ha...I couldn't wait to work up to the Zumbaton with Beto only to be way disappointed. Back to Gina! Love her :) Beto did awesome creating Zumba awesomeness & we forever grateful, but hand the moves over to the girls! Yeah

Since you are at your goal weight you can afford the indulgence. Give food a healthy look and give yourself some credit for doing the work....sometimes it's time to relax. Back again 2mrw....STAY AWAY FROM THE SWEET SHOPS
-
PLANK...and that's tremendous. Serious weights, I was way too timid before SWEAT...and love it, now.
