You look so good! That second picture is my goal.

I'm training for one now. It'll be my first one though. Reading this thread I'm getting nervous.

I've got 30 pounds to go before I see my marine boyfriend. Then he'll be deploying. I need as much motivation as I can get!
-
The scale said 5 pounds heavier then I was this time last month. Instead of freaking out about it (the holidays...what can I say I enjoyed myself) I decided to recommit myself to getting healthier! Trust me, this is huge.

My marine boyfriend was very proud, but is now on me to get a better time. He can do a 5K in 19 minutes. I'm doing wind sprints to speed up time. I go back and forth from doing interval running and just long distance running.
-
haha good idea!

It's just frustrating because the bathroom floor is tile, not carpet. :grumble:
-
Wow. That was my starting weight, and now I'm around 188 as well. I can't wait for the 160's! You look so good and healthy.

I don't want to brag or anything, but last Sunday I spent it nerding it up with the entire cast of Star Trek Next Generation....including Captain Picard! They were doing a panel and I got lucky enough to participate! It's a way of me and my marine boyfriend are bonding; we watch Star Trek episodes together over the phone…

I'm in the middle of a move, and all my stuff is in storage. Including my scale. So everything I'm focusing on now are NSV's! I ran for 30 minutes STRAIGHT last night. Holy crap. I never thought I'd be able to do that. I was at a 5.5 mph speed. WOOT!

That's what these forums are for! Those cranky posts. Sometimes you just need to vent, and who's better to understand then everyone of your friends that are chugging along on the same journey as you? I'm stealing your idea of rewarding yourself with non food items. :)

The look on my boyfriend's face when he saw me for the first time after 6 months. He's a marine, I only get to see him about twice a year. The look was a mixture of disbelief, pride...and a LOT of lust. It was a good feeling.

Spinach. Yum.

I thought I was the only one! :) Never take him for granted.

What I hate is when someone compliments me...then asks me how I did it. When I say eating right and exercising, their face falls and they look disappointed. SORRY I DISAPOINTED YOU!!
-
Wow 2 miles? I remember when I couldn't run 1 minute straight. Good job!!!
-
That sucks. I hate days like that. But it's nice to know that they don't just happen to me, they happen to everybody! You went to the gym, which was more then most people sitting on the couch eating a pizza did (if that's what anyone here did last night, VERY jealous of you!) and you did something. That's what I tell…

I know! It's the first thing I'm always asked, and every reaction has been the same.

I started out at 221 and I'm just to 190 today. I've been at it for 76 days. I've went from 44 inches around the waist to 37inches so far. Also, I was at 50 inches around my hips and now I'm down to 45.5 inches. I'm eating 1,200 calories a day and I started the Couch to 5k app. When I started 76 days ago I couldn't run…

That's not a small victory...that's a HUGE victory! I have to encourage myself out loud too sometimes to keep myself going. Or swear profusely at Jillian Michaels! Great job, keep up that momentum!
-
I woke up early for the first time today and went running. UGH it was awful. Hopefully it gets better. :)

I'm siting here in the office after having eaten two cookies and a brownie (they were all delicious) and I'm NOT beating myself up over it. Hey, I'm allowed something like this every now and again. I'll just eat a really healthy dinner and get back on the wagon again tomorrow. One afternoon of snacks is not enough to make…

I've never heard of this measurement before, so I looked into it. I plugged in my numbers for my starting waist/hips, and got .88. I compared it to the measurements now for my waist/hips, and got .83. And that was only in two months! Now I have another NSV goal to achieve...hitting below 0.8! Thank you!

I think you look amazing even in your before pictures! But great work, and great motivation for me. Thanks for posting these!
-
WOOT! Grats to you! How wonderful. I'm looking forward to the day when I can finish mine. :)
-
I ran for 20 minutes straight at a 5.5 mph pace. I wouldn't believe I could do that last month! Then I did a yoga class which kicked my butt. I got on the scale this morning and it said that I gained .5 pounds. Instead of freaking out about it, I went, Well, I feel stronger so that must be muscle. And then I flexed!
-
I'm using Couch to 5K for this. It only cost me $1.00 and it's completely worth it.
-
Now you can say your body is a ONEDERLAND! Haha grats on your success. It was so amazing to see that number drop from 2 to 1 for me. :)
-
And the point is not how fast you run, but that you ARE ACTUALLY RUNNING! I started out that slow and was so embarrassed...until I started to get better and better at it and my speed picked up. I'm so glad that I stuck with it, because running is the only way I'm losing the weight around my middle! Keep on trucking…

I used to crave Burger King's Whopper. I would daydream about that burger so much...YUM!!! I decided to let myself have one a couple of months ago, and UGH it was awful. I couldn't finish it, and felt so physically ill afterwards. That's one of the good things I think has come from eating healthy. I don't crave crap…
