  • I'm 31, 5'6" and 225lbs. I don't have a pound goal, i have a body fat percentage goal. I'm aiming for 25% body fat. I did just gain 10 lbs, but it was all pure muscle. *flex* My lean body mass is 145 lbs, so i am now carrying 80 pounds of fat. My goal is to lose some of the fat while building muscle.
  • I'm bored at work, and of course that makes me want to eat. I grabbed more water, but my cubicle neighbor had M&M's that she offered me. I looked at them longingly...then turned them down. I'm training my mind to not eat only because I'm bored! Omg I turned down M&M's. This is huge for me.
  • Over Christmas, me and my boyfriend broke up. That devastated me. I thought he was going to propose to me over Christmas. I spent the first three weeks in January eating all the junk food I could find and just laying in bed. Now, I realized what I was doing, and this past 7 days I have gone to the gym every time I planned…
  • My NSV is a little naughty....My boyfriend is a marine and is stationed across country. I was feeling a little frisky last night, so I snapped a couple of photos nude to send to him. Usually when I do that I have to pose a certain way to hide the parts of me that I don't like. But last night, I realized I like every part…
  • Last night my trainer made me get on the scale so he could see how much I weighed. I didn't want to, because I went from eating 1,200 calories to 2,400 calories and I KNEW the weight gain would freak me out. I've been feeling amazing, killing it in the gym, ect. That was good enough for me, but he wanted to put a number on…
  • Oh wow. You look so happy!! You've already lost 85 pounds, you can do anything!!
  • That's time lord technology right there. Very valuable stuff.
  • My NSV was that I literally threw my scale in the garbage. Never again am I letting a number define how I feel about myself. I will continue eating my macros, doing my workouts, and looking and feeling better every single day. And I don't need my scale to keep track of that.
  • Wow. Your point about under eating being as harmful as over eating really spoke to me. I'm working hard to not get skinny, but to get strong but I have a tendency to shy away from the calories, even if they are good for me. Thank you for reassuring me to not be scared of the good calories!
  • I did 60 push ups last night!! I could only do 20 at a time, but in between I was doing barbell rows and bench presses, so I wasn't really resting. I now weigh 197 pounds, so I think if I lose more, they will definitely be easier! haha
  • The tattoo on my hip is getting bigger!! Well, it looks like it anyway because I'm getting smaller!
  • I totally get the sweet tooth thing. I love baked goods. One of my friends last night brought left over baked goods to roller derby practice, and usually I'll eat 5 brownies, telling myself that I'll burn it all off during practice. But last night, I had one lemon square and stopped because even though it was delicious, I…
  • My boyfriend left for a deployment, and he'll be gone for 7 months. When he left he hugged me, stopped, and said, "When I come back, please promise there will be some of you left! You're disappearing so quickly!" It made me feel wonderful :)
  • Usually when I wear a t shirt and jeans to work on Friday (casual Friday), I always wear a hoodie to hide the stomach pudge, no matter how warm it is outside. Today I brought the hoodie, but didn't have to wear it to hide anything!! YAY!
  • I show up to the gym on Tuesday and Thursday mornings at 7am to have the squat rack all to myself. Sunday afternoons around 1pm its also dead! I don't like sharing. :)
  • This is only my third week of doing 5x5, and I do the program first thing in the mornings on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Sundays. I love it so much I have no problem getting out of bed at 7am to go to the gym! I've never had an exercise that has me that excited to do it!
  • Why not both?
  • So my roller derby team had an away bout this weekend, and they decided they wanted to take a picture of the whole team doing a human pyramid. I just assumed I'd be on the bottom, because of my weight. Well, when we formed it all the girls agreed I should be on the second tier of the pyramid, not the bottom! That just blew…
  • Wonderful piece of advice. If I cut out everything I am craving, I will get so bad I'll snap one day and eat ALL THE COOKIES. When I got girl scout cookies, I divided them up into servings in little baggies and threw away the boxes. When I wanted some cookies, I only grabbed one baggie, and was satisfied. Never did I end…
  • I'm a lifting newb too but completely falling in love with it. This is the second week I've done stronglifts, and already feel stronger/better. I started with the bar even though it was super easy for me. I'm just focusing on form, but I can already tell that my OHP is going to be the lift that I'll dread. And after…
  • I have a very cute skirt that my ex's mom gave me awhile ago. It used to hurt to wear because it was so tight, but today it fits comfortably around my waist. Hopefully soon I'll have to go get it taken in :)
  • My boyfriend just left for deployment. I know how you feel :(
  • Me too! I have 32 pounds to go. What kind of athlete are you? :)
  • My reward is the look on my marine's face when he comes home from deployment...I have 8 months to lose 30 pounds! But at every five pound increments I do go get a massage. I deserve it.
  • So bad *kitten*!!! I love yoga, and people who make fun of it, believing it's only for wussies...obviously have never done it. I was so excited when I finally did a full camel! I should get a picture of that too. Now I'll start working on the mermaid!
  • I've become that person in the gym. I working on my arms yesterday...and looked in the mirror and couldn't stop staring because OMG I HAVE MUSCLES IN MY ARMS! I probably looked pretty vain, but I really don't care :)
  • Do they offer just the workout videos? I can't seem to find them.
  • I guess it's a roller derby thing, because we call our helmet cover panties. So I always refer to underwear as panties. To make lots of off color jokes.
  • I always figure out a way to fit chocolate in :)
  • I know the 1,200 wasn't good...but the weight loss was so fast! It got addicting. Now I'm just trying to be happier/healthier while losing a little bit more.
