  • I'm hoping that one week soon I'll see that big drop
  • Thanks I'll give it a try. Any ideas on how to get the protein up without increasing the fat? Most of the protein foods I'm eating like meat etc also have fat so when I increase protein fat tends to go up too.
  • My diet has been pretty consistent, I'm staying with in my calorie limits and following the marco guidelines for 40% carbs 30% protein and 30% fat. I guess I just have to be patient, any use in upping the protein and cutting carbs? or will that just result in water weight loss?
  • Squats can help strengthen the pelvic floor but you have to make sure you are pulling the muscles up and in as you squat. Never hold your breath or "bear down". Exhale on effort and make sure the weights are appropriate for your level. That being said if there is already a prolapse or incontinence you should take to a…
  • Read this book " Strong Women Stay Young" fact based info about the positive effects of weight lifting for women
  • Waiting for the book to come out " the 5000 calorie diet"
  • How long did it take?
  • I think it is because people see celebrities who are thin saying that they follow a gluten free diet, so there is a perception that gluten free will make you thin I realize that Celiac disease is very very serious life threatening condition and that people who have it must stay away from gluten. In fact the few people I…
  • Hey, I love a good brownie, but I just think that these labels fool people into thinking that by being"gluten -free" they can eat all they want. Kinda like the "low-fat" phase in the 90's. I've read that the obesity epidemic is due to everything from gluten to antibiotics. The message that people are simply eating too much…
  • Check out this from Runner's World http://www.runnersworld.com/motivation/running-with-dogs Also check with your dogs vet to make sure he is good to go. I run/jog with my 2 terriers, occasional we get caught up in leashes but they've learned that runs and walks are two different things and go into a different mode when…
  • I should probably be eating more protein. Breakfast is usually a boiled egg, Ezechiel toast and berries, lunch is a big veggie salad and protein ( usually chicken), I eat some kind of fruit for a dessert then I eat a Kellogs Vector bar for a snack around 3 pm, but I think it is too high in sugar and not enough protein. But…
  • I felt kinda tired and hungry starting about week 2 into my program. The first 2 weeks were great, but then I hit a wall. I added back a few calories and got a couple nights good sleep and felt much better. I did keep up the exercise and it helped me get through the slump. I'm back on track now and feeling good again. As…
  • I think it is about getting paid, although that whole song kinda confuses me.
  • My daughter came up with "scientifical" As in " Mom, don't get all scientifical on me!" This when I tried answering a question she asked
  • It does feel awesome, hopefully I can keep this up :)
  • I'm feeling much better these past few days, I added back a few more calories, my weight loss has slowed a bit only 0.5 lb lost this week but I think I was being a bit too aggressive with the calorie cutting. Anyway I'll see how it goes this week then maybe cut back again and see how I feel. I'd rather lose weight slowly…
  • I actually felt a bit better after working out, so I guess it is part of the process....

  • I'm a 5' 4" , 49 yrs old woman. I'm at 136 lbs trying to get to my pre-baby weight of 120 lbs. Although my "baby" is now 12 yrs old  I'm eating about 110 gr protein, 90 gr carbs and 60 gr fat per day
  • PS, good foods for all those who can't eat enough calories in a day..... not my problem
  • Dried Fruits and nuts where the kickers for me: I didn't realize how calorie dense they are. I still have them but in smaller amounts. Check out this link to see for yourself http://bonduelle.org/feasting/tbd-new-how-many-calories-nutritious-values-in-products/how-many-calories-in-dried-fruits/
  • I usually have a strawberry smoothy for breakfast in the car: 1/2 cup unsweetened almond milk, 1 scoop vanilla protein powder, 1/2 c frozen strawberries and 1 pkg of Equal and some water to fill it up to the top. Blend it up in my magic bullet and it is good to go :)
  • I tend to be great all day, I stick to my plan and eat enough but my pattern is after 7 or 8 pm I start craving sweet stuff. I'm trying to find alternatives to raiding the cupboards. But I don't get why the urge hits just at those times. Would building it a little room for extra calories at the end of the day help or hurt?…
