I lost almost 35 lbs 2 years ago, 10 have snuck back on so I'm getting serious about it again :)

2 more weeks in my cast left! After t is off I will be in a " boot" for another few weeks. I plan to start back at the gym then right now it is too hard to manage with the crutches. diet is doing better and I am feeling more energy. I've been getting out more and enjoying the weather :)

Thanks for the advice. I will try my best to keep the diet under control :) It is hard when you are bored. The only good thing is that it is hard to get around so going to get food is a problem :) I need someone to help carry stuff for me so my kids are helping out.

Thanks for all the positive messages. I think being supported through this group has been very helpful, anytime I've run into a problem or had a question you guys have helped out. Also I've been walking more with my dogs and they've slimmed down too :)

I can't use sugar alcohols because I get major GI upset from them. However, I will use a small amount of Aspartame if I want some sweetness. I haven't heard if this is OK.

Day 8, and so far so good. I'm feeling my energy come back and am not getting the normal swings of low/high energy throughout the day. I'm not so pooped out at the end of the work day and am sleeping fine at night. I'm interested to see how things continue, I know some people have reported an increase in overall well being.

My only problem is that I'm not motivated to cook. I've been eating mostly precooked meat, eggs, cheese and veggies, usually raw. I'm cooking for the kids but not eating the same stuff *kitten* them.I need to get motivated to cook, I'm just not sure what to make that my kids would like as well.

I've also decided to stay off the scale for at least 2 weeks. I am so discouraged when I weight myself so I've decided to keep that to a minimum and to just go by how my clothes are fitting, what I see in the mirror and how I feel.
