If you get plain protein powder, you can do all sorts of things with it. Blended with a banana and water it's very nice. I buy tins of fruit and blend about 100g with 30g-ish protein powder, and either water or milk. You'd probably be fine with fresh fruit if you have a blender that can handle that. I'd also recommend…

Not really. I leave them to it. What exactly is your problem? I asked an innocent question.

Sorry, how is that the same? I need a minimum amount of protein - I've been cautious and eaten more than the minimum because I didn't believe the database entries. If I go over my protein goal for the day by 10 grams, nothing bad is going to happen - but if I go under I might lose muscle mass. Amongst other problems.
-
Somewhere around 90 grams. I try my best not to go below - don't want to accidentally count protein I haven't really eaten and be under my goal.

Ah, well, you learn something new every day :) Sorry, I forgot you don't call them courgettes in America.

Thanks for the advice :) Being in the UK, I don't think a lot of those brands will be available to me, but I'll have a look around. I love oats and we have a spice grinder, so I'll be trying that. Right, so, I'm going to start re-introducing gluten/wheat back into my diet, I suppose (oops...). My appointment is tomorrow.…

Well, I've started eating 1300 calories. I'm feeling much better - faintness has gone. :) I'll see how my weight loss goes and if it's all right I might increase by another 100. Will I not put on any muscle in a deficit at all? It's just I'm sure I've put a little on on my upper arms and there's definitely one that's…

Well, it varies. I can eat a small portion of wholewheat pasta one day and be fine, or some of those thin pancakes you use with duck. White flour based foods make me immediately bloated. If I have some gluten every day - like a few weeks ago, I had a half to one pitta bread a day - I can't go to the bathroom very much....…
-
Ah... thanks for telling me. I'd only need to eat a little bit of a gluten though, right?

Okay, I'm not going to get into the whole weighing and logging thing again, because I don't want to snap at anyone. So, moving on. I probably should mention I'm 22, 140 pounds, 33% body fat. Aiming for 118 and 22% body fat. The 22 pounds is daunting to me, doesn't seem like a small amount at all.... It is possible I…

So I'll definitely be okay to add extra calories in general, still eating back exercise calories? Probably wouldn't hurt to just try it for a week, I suppose... how much would you suggest increasing it by? (My TDEE supposedly is 1548, or 1774 with exercise... don't really believe that, though) My husband did tell me that…

Oh, I know it won't make me fat. This is entirely due to health reasons. I'm going to see a doctor about it, but they'll probably want me to cut it out for a while and see how I feel anyway, so I might as well start now. What I mean is it's going to be hard knowing on a given day, I might actually be able to fit in that…

:D What a beautiful puppy. Bramley.

Itsbasschick - I'm 5'1 - yeah, my husband is 6'2 and has to keep increasing his calories because he's losing too much, then gloats about how much chocolate he gets to eat, haha. Plerf - I'm sorry, that sounds incredibly frustrating and upsetting for you. I hope you can figure out what's wrong. I doubt I could get my…

Thanks for the link - I'm already doing all that. But I understand why people would think I might not be. Honestly, I own two pairs of good scales (ran a food company for a while) and weigh in grams (and under a gram, hence the second pair, but that's really only useful for precise stuff). I log everything. Not water, mind…

BigT555 - It's been two weeks, I think. Lrayborn1987 - Thanks, I just want it to continue... but it stopped. Though I do find it weird it hasn't been the 2lbs per week MPF told me it would be, but I'll just be happy if I consistantly lose weight. Levitateme - I'm not burning anything really, as I'm not exercising, but when…

Yeah, I do drink more, it doesn't seem to help though :/ I do try to avoid going outdoors (unless I'm jogging, of course), bright sunlight gives me massive headaches anyway. Air conditioned gym sounds lovely... sadly, I'm too poor to afford a membership - we use my brother-in-law's weights in our bedroom, which has a fan…

I do, with my arms at least. I'm doing what I can, but I don't lift anything as heavy as others seem to... but just being able to see MUSCLE there that I didn't even know how to tense before is brilliant :D Quite proud, really... And to the people who posted pictures - you look wonderful :) Very inspirational.

I lost a stone once on 750 calories a day and put it all back on again in about a week or two at most. (I know it was stupid, I'm just pointing out it's possible)
-
If you're binging so much you feel ill then two pounds a day of fat is possible (having done it myself). If you didn't spend time sitting in the bathroom close to throwing up, then you probably didn't eat enough to put on that much. I don't know about all those strange things you're taking though.

I get bloated from eating carbs like rice, no matter how unprocessed. You might have that problem. Could have something to do with gluten. You could try eating just very small portions of the rice and similar things? (And if you're trying to gain weight, just replace the lost calories with fats or bread made with NO white…

Oh, okay. That's relieving :) Thanks
