Thank you all so much. I love and appreciate the whole tone of this board-along with the encouragement, truth in love, and question-answering.

You've made such amazing progress! Congratulations on you success-I know it has come through hard work, determination, and a fantastic attitude and mindset.
-
Thank you all-looking forward to being on the other side of Tuesday and turning the page to a new chapter.

I have not hidden the fact from anyone but neither have I advertised it. With one exception all who know have been positive and supportive. A few have had questions and concerns but these were asked from a place of sincerity. I think once I am over my own fear regarding success/failure (or I at least have a better handle…

Beautiful!

Best wishes for you this week! Glad you are feeling a little excited. I am neither excited nor nervous (surgery 12/2) just committed to the fact of it. Maybe those feelings will come as I get closer. Can't really afford nerves, etc. right now anyway so I guess thats ok. Looking forward to hearing from you on the other side.

Thank you so much for your honesty and transparency. I think when people ask about WLS, the good bad and ugly this is the info they need to hear.

Best wishes for you this week! Try to relax, know that's easier said than done but there is very little unknown in what you describe. Measure out your fluids, no harm in overshooting at this stage and you should hopefully have a list from surgeon as to what to drink in the first few days/weeks. I talk a good game-not…

I am majorly impressed! I just started a barre class and looking very forward to better flexibility and core strength.

Thank you for sharing the more human, less successful moments. And how you get through them and learn from them. I am encouraged by your posts-by their very 'realness.' I hope your daughter is doing better and that she finds hope, encouragement, and health/healing.

No-your real transformation began months ago. You dedicated yourself to something you knew would be to your great benefit. Surgery is the next step in the transformation, but you have already come such an amazing distance! So glad things went well.
-
Im SO sorry I missed this! Hope you are home and well and that surgery went swimmingly. You have been such an encourager to me and others here and I hope that you, in turn, feel encouraged. Blessings...

Thaeda-wow, thank you so much for your self-reflection. Really great insight and openness. I am trying to work through many of my own harmful thoughts and actions around over- or mis-eating prior to surgery. I am really good at rationalizing my behavior on the one hand and a 'yep, i ate it, so what' mentality on the…

You always have the MOST sensible and excellent ideas. Please keep sharing.

LOVE these pictures! So encouraging...you've all done so well!
-
You've done AMAZING! What an encouraging journey, thank you.

Ditto to everything above-the part I am spending the most time on (I'm pre-op) is the emotional part of this as I know, absolutely KNOW that if I don't address that, this will be an expensive folly. Therapy-definitely consider therapy as an adjunct to the surgery. Regarding the kidney stone issue-I'm assuming you probably…

I would talk about alternatives he might see and ask him if he wasn't doing the surgery (or anyone in his group) who would he refer you to and why. i think this is a helpful question for a number of reasons-it lets you get a feel for the person and compare who he would refer you to to others feelings in the area. I know,…

Whoop! Congratulations on this next step in the journey. So glad you had a relatively good time of it. Amazed with your walking stats-strong strong work! That is one thing I am really focusing on in the prep process, increasing activity as I work my way through eating and emotions, carb attacks, etc. Glad to hear you are…

You look amazing-keep up the great work!
-
Oh I am SO happy for you! You have been so diligent throughout this whole process and now you are almost there-keep pushing forward! I scheduled my surgery last week for Dec 2-this will work out best for me timing wise between school and work.

This is a really good, valuable, useful post. Thank you. I am sorry you and your family are having to walk through such pain-prayers to cover you all.
-
Congratulations!!!
-
How exciting! And overwhelming...having NEVER shopped outside the generously proportioned department/stores I can't even think how I would handle so many choices. Hope you came away with some super cute scores!
-
Welcome! It is a good group, with a good variety of not-yet-sleeved, newly-sleeved, approaching-maintenence, veterans, and in-between. Lots of encouragement and sage advice to be had. Glad you're here.

Way to go-woot woot!!!

I am so sorry for your loss. It doesn't matter how long someone has been sick or the severity or how prepared we think we are, losing someone close is painful. I pray you, your sister, and your family can lean on one another and take strength from each other in the days ahead. Laugh, cry, share memories, rejoice, and…

Congratulations! What a wonderful, cool NSV. I agree about variety and I think I will need an element of game...hoping I can get back into playing tennis.
-
Congratulations! Keep your face to the sun and keep moving forward!

Face to the sun! You have a lot on your plate (sorry for the food analogy) and I am so proud of you for not giving in to stress eating and destruction. I know that this will happen with perfect timing for you. I am encouraged by your faith throughout this process, know that He guides the surgeon's hands (and knows who that…
