  • THANKS! Seems like Dance Central is a definite yes! (That one was my favorite to begin with) and I'm gonna to the free trial of the Biggest Loser tonight to see if I like it. Zumba, I hear so many mixed reviews, but I figure if I don't like it I can sell it back to Game Stop.
  • Yeah, I think I'm gonna need to definitely have my girlfriend hide the scale from me and we only pull it out on Monday mornings. It's gonna take more will power than just eating healthy, that's for sure.
  • My friend Chris was just telling me a few days ago that he and his other friend have a "Fat Tuesday" every week, and they don't go by there regular dietary restrictions. Chris seems to be doing very well on his weight loss journey. I definitely don't think you should go all out and eat absolutely everything you've been…

  • Did you come up with that yourself? That sounds really good, and I need more creative ways to get rid of all the tuna I have.

  • Drink your breakfast calories.
  • I would go with the heart rate monitor. Did either machine/device ask for your age, sex, and weight? if so that device is the most accurate. Most gym machines are set for men in a health weight rage, so what they say you burn may not really reflect your workout.
  • My biggest motivator is my girlfriend. She's 21 years old and has "old people" health problems. She has gal stones, high blood pressure, and what we think might be an ulcer. And she's in the hospital at least once every month because she's injured herself, or some past injury flares up again. You just should have to go…

  • I would definitely try the aqua Zumba class, that sounds like a lot of fun! Also, you should check out aqua jogging you're really into water-based workouts. It's best done in 7+ ft deep water, but you can do it in chest deep water too. Water jogging is an intense but low impact way to get your heart rate going, AND you…
  • You look amazing! Way to stay in the fight!
  • I think this week my goal is gonna be 7,000 calories burned. I'm pretty confident in my ability, but who knows what the week shall bring!
  • AH! You look so fabulous! So inspirational! Sometimes I start to feel like when I get to 255 ( my half waypoint) i won't be able to see a difference, but seeing you pics, I see that there's plenty of fabulous for me to get to! Keep up the good work!

  • Ok, so I can already see, this is gonna turn into a but of a rant for me, sorry ya'll. My girlfriend and my roommates are all my biggest saboteurs. Let me start out by saying that I am 21 years old, and live with 4 other 19-22 year olds, ALL of whom are also overweight. The roommate who most recently moved in, we'll call…

  • He just feels bad for eating to unhealthy so he tries to justify it.
  • Rock on! Every journey begins with a single step!
  • OMG! This is the best story I've heard all day! Congrats!!! Way to be a rock star!
  • An easy rule of thumb I was taught is that you should aim to drink half of your body weight in ounces of water. So if you weight 150lbs, you should try to drink 75oz of water. 75 oz in about half a gallon plus about 11 ounces. If you're drinking this amount of what you wont carry around water weight with you. It sucks when…

  • If you like popcorn I would suggest a serving of air popped popcorn with 1 teaspoon of cinnamon popcorn seasoning ( the serving size for the seasoning is actually 1/4 teaspoon, but since it's only 5 calories, it'll only be 20 cals for the whole teaspoon. Popcorn is high in fiber, and if's air popped it's low in fat. And…
  • Houston, Texas! Welcome to MFP!
  • Ya know, with all the stuff I've learned, I think I might try to become a personal trainer. I hear it doesn't take that long to get the certification, and I think after showing potential clients a picture of me at my 300+ heaviest, they'd be very confident in my abilities, and would want to work with me... I already try to…
