I'm doing low-carb (per nutritionist), not keto, as I have to also watch fat intake. My goal this month is to get my protein in while keeping my fat in check (per doctor). I have my goals at 35% protein, 35% fat and 30% carbs right now (beginning of journey) and in May I kept going over on my proportion of fat calories in…

New to the group and just starting high protein/low carb. I just consulted with a nutritionist and my assignment between now and the end of June is to remove bread, tortillas, rice, pasta, chips and crackers from my house. I can replace them with low/no carb alternatives. In addition to that goal, I have opted to have an…

Me, too. I'm still trying to figure out what I can and can't eat. How to get my protein up when peanut butter and nuts are no longer an option. What meats are okay and what aren't. I feel ya. I have an open diary, if you want to add me and look at what I am doing.

I'm back and available, if you're still needing someone.

I'd love for things to happen here!

@barefootbridgey We do make fun of the practiced hand gestures and slowing down words for emphasis in the videos during our lunch break at work lol.
-
They do, actually. I'm only on Day 2, but one thing from watching all the videos yesterday for Week 1 that hit home was the part about your stomach not having taste buds. It was the video about slowing down your eating, which is a problem I have. I eat while doing other things and I eat fast and then it's gone. Yes, I knew…

I feel this thread is opinion skewed from the get go. I'll admit my work just started offering this and we started the program yesterday. I am definitely skeptical, but not going in to it scornfully. I'm open to learning what I can that will work for me. I'm not trying to lose weight as much as changing how I eat so I…

Hey all!

That trying on new workout pants is still a struggle in the fitting room.

I have an open diary. Anyone can add me. I don't make the best choices, but I'm trying to stay within my macros. I have a hard time with meat sometimes and I'm trying to figure that out.

I'm going to assume you meant speed bumps, lol. I had a lot of pain upon standing, under my left breast after the surgery. They kept telling me it was normal pain, but kept me an extra day anyway. I would stand up and then have to wait for the pain to subside. It felt like it started at the top of my abdomen and oozed down…

I was counting all liquids, but my eye doctor wants me to cut down on caffeine because my dry eyes are so bad. I decided to quit logging my caffeinated drinks when I log my liquids on MFP. I'm hoping this will help me drink more water and less coffee. Hasn't worked too well yet, lol.

I'm exploring the different ways of covering the hair loss, like Topix, and am expecting some Batiste dry shampoo with color to arrive today. They help make it less noticeable. My friends tell me they don't notice it, but I think they're just being nice, lol.
-
I had RNY 3 months ago, and my surgeon said to stay under 50 g carbs. I haven't asked about total vs net carbs. (I wish MFP had a net carb column.) I think I'm too new in my journey to have much of an understanding on what affects me and how. I'm still super cautious on trying new foods.
-
I'm 3 months out and my hair loss has begun. I've been dreading this part of the process.
