Due to finances I am not in a gym so everything is bodyweight at the moment. I am working on improving my press-ups, trying to get to a diamond hand position but i find my triceps are not as strong so started to add dips (off a chair). I am a paper pusher so have to make my exercises at home. I started using the kitchen…

Thanks blueseraphchaos, i'm definitely not dehydrating myself, was drinking during and after (no wine just water and green tea). All - apologise for any confusion, i was only asking since you all have more knowledge than me and i am keen to learn. Although starting to regret asking now.

Hey ndj1979, absolutely, loving the magic, managed to get up to 2min 30secs on my planks, up to 40 press ups but since i can't target fat loss from specific areas i'm just plugging on, would just be nice to tighten up a bit. I know it will come, with time, calorie deficit and exercise. I was only interested in this as a…

Thanks sijomial, i am on a calorie deficit, i've lost 7.5kgs so far, down from 92kg to 84.5kgs. And totally agree thats the best and probably only way to lose weight overall.

Thanks for all your comments. I haven't once mentioned fat loss. I was wanting to tighten things up in areas where i am a bloated and while i drink 2+ litres a day of water pulling out toxins that sit within the skin seemed to be a good way of helping cleanse.

From what i have read and you tube videos, including MMA fighters that use it to get to a target weight, its something you might do 1-2 a week, and you have to hydrate during and after but its great for drawing out toxins, healing the skin and tightening things up. I have a strong heart and all medical stats are normal.…

Hi gang, first time poster in here looking for support and camaraderie. I'm down from 92kg to 84.5kg so far. Aiming to get to below 80kgs as my first main goal. Body fat, loss of confidence in the way I look, lack of energy and just disappointment were my reasons for getting started on the journey. Enjoying the challenge,…

Thanks for the advice everyone, will be applying it all and see how i get on.

I make sure my phone is charged, call my mates, and start walking :)

I do squats and lunges too which i find help a lot

It sure is. 31 May is 15 weeks away, if you start Monday morning that's roughly 3 months so if you target to lose over 1 lb a week thats a good basis. From everything I have read calorie deficit is the key so recording everything in a food diary is important. I have lost 6kg (13.2 lbs) so far, I mix up everything but I…

Now thats why I like this site, great job David. Thanks for sharing your success so far, it's really good motivation. Keep going buddy, you've inspired me so going for a walk.

Hey mate There are a load of us just like you, the world is a tough unforgiving place but you're not alone and first off great job on the first drop in weight. As a start can I suggest moving your inspirations to 'reasons why' and perhaps considering a few positive goals as inspirations - daughter, strong background in…

The thing that is working for me is eggs for breakfast. They are filling so keep you from feeling hungry for longer, affordable, get the good ones with omega 3. High protein solution and reducing carbs has helped me lots. Also you can do so much with them, throw in spinach, or ham, chill etc. well you probably know what I…

Thank you for your reply Betuel. Really reassuring to read that you are already achieving similar aims to mine. Great job. Looks like you are way ahead but where I want to get too. Any tips you can share would be appreciated. I don't have access to weights atm, but enjoy the body weight exercises.

Thanks Obscure. I am still self conscious about how i look so have been doing body weight exercises at home. I will work out the cals and eat the exercise cals. Typically I do 2 sets of 20 reps each day of exercises like: lunges, press-ups, squats. I also do 3 1 minute planks I was hoping to only do this for a 5 week…

Thanks Jerry. I totally agree with just aiming for a look I am happy with, losing the belly was the first goal but now i want to tone up but feel i still have a lot of weight to lose and i'm not convinced 5kg will do it.
-
Thanks Obscure, I was thinking 80kg could just be a stepping point so will keep aiming for that. Trying to educate myself on this and I tend to like seeing a target and going for it. I'll grab a new way to get a more accurate bf measurement. I friend has suggested a few options. Oddly i have felt so much better (after…

No offence taken and to be honest i love the brutal honesty of the forum. I took the view i wanted to kickstart my weight loss so am aiming to lose 1kg a week over 5 weeks, hit 80kg and then plateau out. Although now I am wondering if 80kg is the right weight to aim for.

Everything is about personal choice so you have to do what you feel however... 1. my guess is that if you really felt you were owed the money you would have asked; and 2. if the class was important you would have turned up on time. I have had worries myself, insecurities about flexibility when starting a yoga class...so i…

First off and most importantly. YOU ARE NOT ALONE - All us crazy MFPs are with you to help, i am still new and i feel like i am surrounded by friends that understand AND know how to help. Secondly, i find if i try to do everything all at once i slip up, make a mistake, feel guilty and then make another mistake. I find what…

Hmm, 1. You look great. 2. While it wasn't supposed to be cheat day treat it like one, don't feel bad, its ok to have enjoyed it, you are clearly already winning so just smile and enjoy. 3. Stomach pains are not good so why not just eat a big bowl of veg - broccoli etc don't cut more calories, doing that will hurt your…

I would just cut one in half, pop it in a litre of water before you sleep and drink it in the morning when you wake up but before breakfast, makes a change from lemon in water.
