Tuna with everything, extra onions

please let no one have quoted that when I said "3 inches higher" lol

That seems high to me, but that's how it *should* work. When I was your weight but I'm 3" taller I would cut on 2K and that was about 10-12K steps daily.

How long did it take you to lose the 30lbs?
-
This is why I moved to Cronometer for my logging.

I used to believe I had a sugar addiction. Turns out sugar is just delicious and I had a self control problem. When I was fat it was no big deal to have 4 more donuts anyway because I was already fat. Are you sure your 'addiction' isn't psychological? I am perfectly able to have just the 1 NOW. Enter personal…

That's also assuming you don't lose any lean body mass while you drop the weight; likely you'll lose a bit of both
-
When I restrict too much, I have the opposite effect. I believe studies done on adaptive thermogenesis touch on this point too. Eating less tends to equate to moving less (in humans)

I practice intermittent fasting out of personal preference. My window is 1pm-10pm although I'm not strict on closing it; I've eaten in bed plenty of times. It comes down to calories in and calories out. I had this same feeding schedule when I was 240lbs and now at 155lbs. It's literally ONLY about calories.

Just because you don't count; doesn't mean CICO doesn't apply. Do you NEED to count calories to lose weight? No. Do you need to look at your speedometer to keep a speed of 60mph? No, but if you find yourself getting tickets you might want to.

There is such thing as a starvation response but not to anyone with any amount of bodyfat to lose.

If I drop to keto macros I could lose 5lbs of water and be in a surplus. This means nothing.
-
My upper limit on a cut is about 200g I like to be more in the 180 range because I like my fats a bit higher than the minimums. This is completely subjective though because my activity and yours wont be the same. I cut on 2K you have 1400? That might put me closer to 130g for carbs to meet the rest of my macros.
-
Yeah, all diets work but most people don't know WHY they work so it would make sense that they have no clue how to maintain (or even get to goal if their accidental deficit isn't being created) CICO applies whether you count or not.
-
I think that's a good idea. I regularly have sweet potatoes and they vary SO MUCH. Also not sure if you weigh slices of bread but my bread says 40g/slice of 110 cal and I used to just grab a slice and log that but now that I'm trying to lose the last 10lbs I realized I have to weigh even that. that 40g slice was actually…

With all due respect, a medium sweet potato isn't a recipe and if you're not losing weight, you arent in a deficit. Take an honest look at your logging; the problem is in your logging. YOu're eating more than you think; burning less than you think or a combo of both. No weight loss for 4 weeks = maintenance.
-
your deficit is going to be tight at that weight you can't afford to be picking entries like medium IMO
-
medium sweet potatoes; home made "this or that" Are those patties your recipe that you created? Just looks like generic logging to me. I would definitely suggest looking at your logging and entries chosen.
-
white potatoes for me

I do intermittent fasting and while I wish the YouTube videos were true with respect to increased Gh and whatever else they claim I simply use it as a tool to control my calories. I prefer larger meals and I don't like breakfast so it seemed like a no brainer to me. Not sure if you have FB or not but I'm in an IF group…

OP I use Rudolph's sandwich bread and all the slices LOOK the same. On the package it says 110cal/40g slice. I challenge myself to find one less than 60g... more often they're 65g. That's 1.5x the calories for ONE slice. You need a food scale end of story :)

That sounds like a cavity, see your dentist.

what is IIFYM Keto?

It was socially acceptable for women to eat small salads and take amphetamines (probably prescribed by their doctor like in my mom's case) Whereas now its more socially acceptable for women to buck those prior female stereotypical diets/regimes by eating steak and smashing beers. In my grandma's case (same time but…

You're still 'doing' CICO regardless of the way you choose to split your macros. One way your deficit is accidental, the other way your deficit is controlled by you. I'd pick the latter every time; I don't like to leave my efforts up to chance.

I've been using Libra for a few months and Happy Scale before that (went to Android) I'm a data junkie so I love to see the ups and downs and see what I maybe ate the day before (usually it's a diff in carbs/glycogen for me, I don't seem to react to sodium) or ovulation I'm good for 2lbs like clockwork. Love this app!

does running to the bar for another margarita count? then yes.

No but I suspect I may have to

@slossia you couln't be more misinformed. Are you a member of a group called Common Sense Keto by chance?
