I did it. I ate 1kg of Cantaloupe and hit all my micros with the exception of D and some Omega 3. Also I am never doing that again lol
-
I use Cronometer to track partly because if the cleaner database but mostly because I was curious about micros. A lot of entries in MFP don't include all the listed nutrients in foods and Cronometer uses mostly USDA or similar entries so what I noticed is even eating squeaky SQUEAKY clean I could not hit RDA of everything…

I love a lot of things in my IP but none so much as PERFECTLY SOFT (pressure cooked?) eggs. I haven't had a proper soft cooked egg since my father passed away since I never boil them the right way (too much or too little every time) The IP is AMAZING for soft boiled eggs! I have 2 every single night lol

pre-log a test day to give yourself an idea :)

I found that at the beginning the learning curve was a little steep with respect to how I had to construct my meals to reasonably hit my macros but after about a month it became second nature. I don't struggle at all with my numbers.

I don't drink it that often; it's too expensive. When I buy it I have 3 cans a day and it's all gone before the end of the week. I usually only drink it when I eat out now but there's nothing 'wrong' with it per se
-
It may be because I'm getting old but going grocery shopping is one of my only joys lol
-
have a lower calorie dinner and carry on. It's 200 calories
-
150g protein which is admittedly a little high for me but I'm experimenting with a supplement that requires a little extra for the next 8 weeks lol fats fall around 60g
-
Not sure on percentage but I eat about 200g/day maybe 180g if I haven't been very active

I have mine set to sedentary and I'm 5'6" 155lb; walk 17k steps daily and I get to lose 1lb a week on 2000 calories for comparison. My fitbit adds about 1K to my "maintenance" figure from sedentary to 17k steps

I pay more for my insurance because I smoke. I don't pretend what I do is of no consequence because I am at a higher risk of cancer and other smoking related diseases like COPD etc. I'm also an insurance broker and I understand that to correctly underwrite a risk you need to collect enough premium from those that are more…

With a budget of 1200 I'd probably be pretty hungry for the rest of the day making burger and fries fit but yes, you could
-
I find mine is incredibly accurate as well; most of my cardio is just walking so that makes sense. My data is pretty solid logging wise and I'm fairly confident using my fitbit numbers. If that changes that's the first place I'll tighten up but for now I'm good!
-
Deficit is the only thing required, however that being said, I find that it's easier to create said deficit by doing more cardio. Any activity you do will increase your TDEE so obviously YES all that is required is less food but I maintain on 1850 with no cardio. I'd have to eat 1350 to lose 1lb a week and honestly I'd…

I would definitely describe myself as impulsive

Whatever way you choose to time your macros does not negate the requirement of a caloric deficit if fat loss is your goal. There is no twilight zone timing where calories don't count; thermodynamics doesn't work that way
-
The meal timing doesn't matter at all, it's just a matter of whether you prefer to have more smaller meals or less, larger more calorie dense meals. I practice IF out of personal preference but what time you eat makes no difference on your fat loss when calories/macros are the same.

My sister is a naturopath and they do a lot of the same schooling that MDs do, the main difference is pharmacology (MD) and she did study a lot of nutrition. She follows IIFYM 80/20 and recommends that to her clients who seek her help with fat loss; after excluding medical reasons for their being overweight. I think like…

Well I think we can all agree that no food is physiologically addictive but the behavior of eating fast food (or any food you find delicious) makes some of us feel good. I do think that I am more emotionally attached to food than some other people and this is just my personal thoughts on the issue; nothing at all founded…

Still gaining weight. My macros are so on point so I'm sure it's this supplement which I knew would make me hold water. Hoping to recomp the next 8 weeks while I'm on it but I have lost hope of seeing the scale down this week lol
-
True, didn't think of that. I thought you meant ketosis meant you were in a deficit LOL
-
I have about a 4-5K day once every 6 weeks or so and of course it slows your progress; It negates 4-6 days of a deficit for me and is totally worth it. It's informed consent more so than cheating but I have no problem with whatever verbage people use to describe a day of delicious food in quantities I can not have…
-
You are aware that people bulk while in ketosis also right? That has nothing to do with fat loss or a deficit; it has to do with very low carbohydrates lol That is NOT a failsafe
-
I meal prep so my lunches are easy; other than that I wing dinners but pre-log them every morning. I have about 4-5 that I use in my rotation and they all help me meet my macros knowing that lunch will always be X (no I don't mind the repetition lol) I do have a shake in the evenings but I half freeze it (it's RTD) and eat…
-
I track all my veggies; I'm more careful with some vs others. For example I will weigh a side portion of broccoli but if I'm putting 1/2 a piece of romaine on my burger i don't bother. I *have* created a recipe called "burger toppings" because onions, pickles, lettuce, tomato, hot pepper rings add up to about 60 cals.…

I was accidentally IF at 240lbs the same way I do at 155 now; just a way to respect my personal preference of larger more calorie dense meals and not eating when I'm not hungry. Never been a breakfast person.

People that train in packs or superset with 3 pieces of equipment at 6pm

Depends on your bf% IMO. I'm 5'6" and at 163 I don't think anyone would describe me as overweight; but I"m at the top of the healthy range now (154) and I don't look a whole lot different. Maybe my arms are leaner. My "after" pic is 163lbs and while I do have fat to lose, I don't think I would consider myself overweight.

In 2012 a chiropractor adjusted my neck and clipped a vertebral artery. I had a massive basilar artery stroke that left me with locked in syndrome (that's totally paralyzed and aphasic but completely conscious otherwise) Expected to die, I was sent to a neurological center in Toronto and miraculously re-gained some of my…
