  • I’m super proud of you for getting started. Its a process, learning what healthy eating is to you at this stage of your life. So great that you take a first step.
  • My current mini goal is to get out of the 150s and into the 140s. I just want all my clothes to fit right again and be comfortable in my own skin.
  • your calories burned are calculated using your heart reate. I use a fitbit that measures my heart rate throughout the day and tells me exactly how many calories I burned each day.
  • I always listen to audio books to go to sleep. Harry Potter is great. All libraries are connected to apps now and you can download the audio. I get up at 7 every morning. No sleeping in and no naps. Consistency is important. I go for a walk every day. I think being outside is important for our well being and so is…
  • I like soups like chicken tortilla or bean soup. They are light but filling.
  • Love your graphs. I am a business major as well, working in accounting. I am working on a daily 500 calorie deficit to lose one pound a week. I track my calories-in on myfitnesspal and my calories-out on my fitbit. I have an excel table with columns labeled weight, calculated weight, and projected weight. I'll probably add…
  • I would make sure that the area of the scale is large enough. Mine isn't that big and we have large plates. If I want to weigh something on the large plate, I can't see the display anymore..
  • I started reducing my calories about ten days ago and felt really sluggish. Someone suggested a vitamin b supplement on here. Since taking it I do feel better. I would try it, if I were you, and see if it does anything for you.
  • Wow, your weight loss looks consistent. I can even see a spike each month. Do you eat the same calorie amount every day?
  • I have tried intermittent fasting as well as more smaller meals. What works best for me is 4 meals a day. I prep bento boxes and just have to open one when it's time to eat. As suggested, I got a B vitamin supplement and will start using that in hope it gives me a little more energy. I also understand what you guys are…
  • Thank you for the replies. I started this diet about three weeks ago. During the week I would stick to my calories and on the weekends I wouldn't. Once the weekend was over, it was so hard to start over every time. Now I'm saying enough is enough and I am dieting through my weekends in hope that the saying is right: it is…
  • What are your go to foods?
  • I appreciate all the comments, however instead of getting suggestions I was hoping for stories on how everyone else is doing on their diet, whether they had more or less energy.
  • I am usually active with walks and hikes on the weekends and I used to lift for 20-30 min 4 or 5 times a week. Heavy weights. I never logged my activities and that's how I came up with 2300 a day with my usual activities. Now that I'm on 1800 calories I don't feel like hiking or lighting. Will I get used to the less…
  • Anything dry. I make my own trail mix. Granola bars, beef jerky. I also like to stop by aldi and make sandwiches using their pumpernickel and braunschweiger. Here in Florida it gets hot, so I bring salt sticks. I'll set an alarm for every half hour and take one stick and drink water. I also bring candy chews for a pick me…
  • I hope I can still join. Not sure I will get to 100 anymore but I can try. Using runtastic app and will be walking and biking.
  • When I quit coffee I didn't want to get off the couch for a few days. By the end of the first month I was a lot better. Now I really don't ever need caffeine anymore and it's been over a year.
  • The first days are always the worst. You just got to get through them. I figured my stomach had to shrink and only had 800 calories for the first two days. Then I upped the calories and enjoyed my smaller meals. I also ate every 2 hours at first. It really helped me with the hunger. Warm tea also helps and drinking lots of…
  • Enchiladas. Enough Said. Yum
  • I used to make breakfast almost every morning. I would bake waffles, pancakes or french toast. Now I mainly eat Oatmeal for breakfast. I think it fills me up better and is healthier. For lunch I eat warm and cold for dinner. I just made myself chili and portion it out. Then I'll eat the four portions over the next seven…
  • I have two little boys and a house to take care of. I don't work out on top of that. I truly believe that weight loss starts in the kitchen. Maybe I'll start working out at a later point but for right now my focus is solely on diet.
  • Don't know if this helps, but once I take iron supplements I seem unable to lose any more weight, sometimes even gain some. I use a multi vitamin with only a small amount of iron in it and that seems to work for me.
  • Depends on how much milk you are producing, you will need about 500 calories just for feeding your baby. A word of caution, drop your calorie intake slowly or you might not have enough milk. More rest and sleep helps with that though. Hope it was helpful.
  • I am 5'5" and turning 30 in November. I am a stay at home mom too. I just started and am at 170. I am so done being overweight. Sticking to a 1200kcal diet with no extra exercise yet besides being a mom. Would love to have a friend here or two.
