I also like the SL 5x5 program. It is very simple and easy IMO. I had to start with a smaller bar for some things like overhead lift and squats. I haven't added any weight to squats yet as I haven't gotten correct form yet.

Is there anybody out there that is a toe walker? If so, have you had any luck with squatting?

I'm in. I like posting my results even if there hasn't been much loss. My ultimate goal is inches, not pounds.

Way to go, you look great! Huge improvement on your mid section. Keep up the good work!

I pitch forward without shoes on. I practice all day in my house without shoes but it's still the same thing. I finally was able to do a couple body weight squats without my heels coming off the floor. But I couldn't get down very far and I still felt I was coming forward. I guess my squats won't be going up until I learn…

That is awesome! Congrats. :-)

Way to go, you look amazing!

Amazing! Congrats on 275! I couldn't imagine getting that high, wow.

OK, I will. How often should I do these? Once a day, 5x5 days, or multiple times a day? I don't want to hurt myself. My hips and ankles are still sore (just sore, not near the pain my hips had during pregnancy with SPD) from pregnancy. Maybe because I'm breastfeeding...

Thanks. I do not have any machines, I do this at home.

This is what I found on toe walking. And I am not a child, I have walled this way for 36 years since I stated to walk. "Children who walk on their toes can develop tight calf muscles on the backs of their legs and have decreased movement of their ankles. In addition, the muscles on the front of their legs may become weak.…

Thanks so much! Who would have thought it could be so hard. I have to try all these steps, but after reading them to my husband last night we both think it is probably ankle mobility. It sounds exactly like me, and squatting wider does help (but I pitch forward). We're going to try a bunch of things tonight. I'm also going…

I don't notice myself pitching forward if my heels are off the ground. I do if I keep my toes out to keep my heels on the ground, with or without weight. What will the block do? My heels seem to go up more than an inch.

Thanks for all the help! I am still working on my form for squats and rows before going up. I am getting very discouraged by my squat form. I am only at 32.2 pounds so it's not too heavy.

I don't know how to make the pictures show all the way up, but I fixed what I could. You need to copy the one that says for forums and change the IMGs to img. Maybe make the pics smaller? You look great! Way to go!

You look wonderful! Do you plank every day? I do one minute planks but only a few times a week. I also do side planks when I want to change things up.

You look amazing! Congrats for all your hard work. I know what you mean, my scale has gone up this past week since I stated lifting. I know it is water, but it can be hard seeing it go up. Oh, and I think OP means Original Poster since you made the thread.

Can I ask why you need to lose weight if you are losing inches? Wouldn't you rather fit into your old jeans and have a lower body fat percentage than a lower number on the scale? How long have you been working out? It takes me a couple months on a new routine before the scale goes down. I admit, it can be depressing. But…

Way to go! I am losing very slowly as well. Actually, right now I am up because I started lifting heavy and I'm retaining water. Good for you. And thanks for the reminder that we can do it slowly and that sometimes patience is key.

Way to go, you have done great and look amazing! I just started lifting heavy a couple weeks ago. I hope I get some good results like you. :-)

What a transformation, you look fabulous!

Yes, please share. You look amazing in such a short period of time. Way to go! I just started lifting. I hope I lose my cellulite too!

Wow, you look great! Thanks for posting what you did as well, it is very helpful.

Hi! So I haven't been going up in weights (except bench because I felt I was good on that) because I am trying to get form correct. Squats are really hard for me to get right. At the very end I seem to pitch forward. I have been listening to the advice given in the form check thread, and I do think I'm a bit better, but…

I also agree on going to the grungy gym. My local gym doesn't have free weights, only machines. I would love to go to the grungy, mostly men, gym but it is not close and I would have to go late and I don't get much time and like my TV and sleep too much. But they have actual power racks and Olympic weights! So I would go…

^^ That's what I do now too. But I eat enough that I had an empty bucket and a new one. :-D This is why there are so many how do you measure ice cream threads. Canadian's ice cream is measured in half cups or milliliters. I like to measure everything in grams. I eat enough ice cream that I don't want to just guess. I know…

I personally think it is cruel to ask you to change your body type if it is something you can't control. If it doesn't bother you then you can do some heavy lifting to try and build your bum and maybe get some more curves. I'm not sure if it will be what you (or he) wants as every person is different and will achieve…

I like to weigh my food and I had this issue too. I didn't want to guess as some ice creams are heavier than others. So I weighed a empty container and then weighed a full one and did the math. My chocolate frozen yogurt is 60 grams per half cup. I think it was like 59. Something, but I rounded it off.

Thanks! I read everything to my hubby so hopefully he can help out a bit. I just got home after being away for a few days so hopefully tomorrow I will get some practice in. :)
