Hi there, first off there is no secret or magic pill for weight loss, it is simply a lifestyle change. I'm 59 & started my journey about 2 yrs ago, joined MFP last June. I've been successful in my goals so far with about 3 lbs to my ultimate weight goal. I used to be a size XL, pant size 12/13, now I'm between a 0-2, size…

I began practicing yoga last year & found it to be a great stress reliever. I now practice it about 3 days a week along with a cardio fit class 4 days wk. Has helped me tremendously with balance & flexibility as well as relaxation.

This is a great thread! I love reading all the inspirational stories. I joined MFP June 2014 with a goal of losing 20 lbs which I accomplished by the week before Xmas. At that point I set a new goal to lose 6 more lbs- as of today, 5 to go. I love my new lifestyle which includes 4 days of cardio/crossfit training and 2-3…

Daily logger for 180 days straight-especially if you're over 50 and practice Yoga please add! I'm 2 lbs from goal ;)

Bought new clothes this week, surprised & elated that I fit into between size 0-2 in jeans, beyond my wildest dreams!

Hi - It's a tough workout but definitely effective. I have done it straight through for 30 days with only 1 day off. It gets easier- I'm at the point now doing level 3 only as a workout several times a wk in addition to cardio/crossfit training. If I can do it, anyone can ( I just turned 59 yrs old) I've dropped from a…

I completed the 30 Day Shred & dropped 3 sizes by my 59th b-day- I'm smaller now than when I was a teen!
-
I found it to be very easy & pretty much confirms what I have found from other sources in regards to my BMI, TDEE and weight loss goals. The zig-zag & 5:2 is interesting also. Thanks so much!

I am on day 22- started at level 1 for 10 days, moved onto level 2 & did it for 10 days, now on level 3 (2nd day) It is the toughest, quickest workout I've ever done but totally worth it IMO. If it's too hard, take 5 seconds to catch your breath as Jillian suggests throughout the workout and also do the modified or beginner…

I watched the episode last night and believe it was a Garmin

I bought a pair of size 4 jeans one year ago hoping to one day fit into them, and even though I hadn't lost much weight during this year, the exercise/healthy eating has paid off- I tried on the jeans yesterday & they actually fit! Never in my life would of imagined being able to do this. Totally surprised and happy.

Ok so today was day 10 of level 1, got through it & tried level 2 just to see how much tougher, definitely takes it up a notch, just did 1/2 of it. I think I'll continue on level 1 for a few more days . How's everyone else doing?
-
I am on day 8 of 30 day Shred, level 1, getting slightly easier , the first 2 days were brutal! Definitely short but effective.

That is normal, it's not a good measurement of your health & fitness- check out this article at Coach Fitness http://www.coachcalorie.com/dont-use-the-scale-to-gauge-healthy/

I completed the survey too.

Friend request sent- it's important to take care of yourself as well. If you can't get to a gym, there are lots of Dvd's you can get to workout at home. I have been doing Yoga for the past few months & it's been such a great low impact, stress relief exercise for me. The Biggest Loser dvd's are really good too.

I make batches of food to last the week or freeze for later. Crockpot Kalua pork- Nomnom Paleo recipe- 5-7 lb pork shoulder/butt, good for at least 3-4 meals, 3 lbs of meatballs made with grass-fed ground beef & pork sausage- baked in oven, good for at least 5 meals, Everyday Paleo Kitchen sink soup- large pot good for…

I have to agree with you akimajuktuq - personally cheat meals/days don't work, I strive to be as close to 100% all the time, it just isn't worth it, all it does it make it harder to get back on track & also prevents the overall goal. I'm so close to my goal (11 lbs to go) don't want to screw up again, in the past was so…
-
Personally never tried any products, they don't sound natural, why are you thinking about this?
-
Yeah exactly, that's the reason I don't have cheat days, after all why risk everything I've worked hard to achieve just to get sick & start over again. I guess I'm lucky that my hubby dislikes eating out so we don't - I cook everything from Paleo recipes, even though my mom & him eat other stuff once in awhile. My only…

http://www.paleoplan.com/2013/01-29/is-agave-paleo/ Some say yes, some say no. This is just one example of many- if you Google agave nectar and if it's Paleo, you'll find many opinions about it. In the end, you should make the decision, what would be good for yourself , your health. I only use any kind of sweetener(honey,…

I found this to be quite interesting and also the links she has posted- basically points out the same stuff she's experienced, unfortunately .I think she has some good information and bottom line is that everyone is different and you should listen to your body, do what works for you, not necessarily follow every diet…
