Well, I just read this, and it makes a lot of sense, and kind of clears up a lot of things for me that I may not have understood, and yep, no more 1200 calories for me!
-
I tried this, same brand and it never worked for me, it actually gave me headaches.
-
The abs workout I do is 2 days a week and around 30-35 mins. That is because it's broken up over 3 days and I do it twice a week which doesn't seem unreasonable.

Okay...I didn't say I recorded 2 months worth in my head lol. Are you willing to give me the extra cash to see a trainer? Otherwise it's not a refusal to see one, it's a lack of FUNDS. Personal trainers in my area cost anywhere from $50-100 a session, depending if you get one with a certification or an actual degree.

Honestly I'm not trying to be rude either, but I'm not making excuses, I"m just responding accordingly and answering any questions people ask me. I may try the upping my calorie intake, but not to 2,000, that seems drastic in my opinion. Seeing a personal trainer isn't in my budge, i'm not rich enough for that, and…

My setting shows for lightly active.

I don't exactly have the equipment to be measuring my body fat. I don't measure in grams, I measure in oz. But also when I went from jeans feeling comfortable to feeling like I might die in them, yeah no ty lol

Who says I have an emotional issues with food, and who misinformed me that eating little was best for weight loss? I don't have emotional issues with food, and I know that eating just a tiny amount will kill muscle. I'm not totally a barnacle head with this information...lol.

I just really don't like the idea of eating 2000+ calories, that makes me feel really uncomfortable.
-
I agree, being heavyset is not a barrel full of pickles. I've done a lot of research and tried a lot of different things. The suggestions are great, and I appreciate the responses.
-
I've tried to eat around 2000 or not much above that, and I always end up feeling bloated or like it's way too much food honestly.
-
I do plan on seeing my doctor, but just saying, I don't eat mayo butter or any of that stuff...and I do weigh what I eat.
-
I read a lot about protein and if what I read is right it's suppose to help. But either way, i've had weeks where I had low protein, and weeks with high protein so it didn't seem to make a difference.

I think my text screwed up somehow sorry about that...

I could open my diary up for the first 7 weeks you will see I did log everything, and only a few days i may have went over by alittle bit. but only a few days did I go over. I eat a lot of fruits, and vegetables, chicken, egg whites. I have the occasional bad meal, but only on my highest burn days.

There's no way I can eat over 2000 calories a day, that doesn't look like, where is this number coming from? even when I was on a different exercise program last year that burned around 700-800 per session I never ate 2000 calories....i'd have to eat all day for that many

I've never been tested for thyroid problems, but i've fluctuated in weight like forever, I ended up losing 25 lbs then gained 20 lbs back, it's like I lose some and gain more back....and I do know that sleep can be a problem, but...my dr won't give me anything for sleep.
-
I just recently over the last 4 or 5 days stopped recording, I keep track in my mind for the day what I eat.
-
Thanks I will check that out.

I'm not overeating. Actually my dad tells me I'm not eating enough, but he's chunky so he doesn't have room to talk. Just because I don't record it doesn't mean I'm not keeping tabs. I weigh everything, that's why I bought a food scale. Even down to the beef jerky I buy!
-
I drink at least 64 oz of water just during my workouts. I'm just at a loss really.
-
I rarely drink, and I don't eat much sodium. The only thing I seem to have trouble with are carbs, fruits, protein drinks, bread, everything! It's so annoying.
-
Okay if you noticed I mentioned that I have chronic insomnia. I gained weight so my clothes do not fit better, they are tighter...and again 2 months no changes other than gaining.
-
I decided to close it because some days I forgot to write down or record what I eat. I'm 5'3, I was at around 215 ish, and gained 5 lbs some how now at 220...my ultimate goal is 130 ish, my mini goal is 175 right now. I'm at a min of 1200 without exercise with is usually like 1500 or 1600, I WAS working out with 30 mins of…

Thanks that helps.

I don't expect the same results all the time, that was just initially what happened the first time I kicked in the gym on a regular basis, but when I stopped and then went back into it a year or so later I expected to see something, not nothing.
-
Thanks of course for all of the advice and useful information.
-
I do a lot of reading on bodybuilding.com that says the more protein you take the more it helps build muscles and increase metabolism...carbs have always been a problem for me.

The very first time I started working out 2 years ago I lost 8 lbs the first 2 weeks, that's with cardio and weights. I've always carried my weight well, but I do have quite a bit to lose.
