It's funny, i just did the calculation myself and i'm at 17% with a 40 pound loss, and I consider that substantial and have really started to see and feel the results.

Another idea for you...if you're cooking something for dinner like spaghetti sauce or chili, make extra that you can freeze as leftovers for a quick meal. It takes no extra time at all to cook a large batch vs. a small batch!

I'm on the Dryer's/Edy's slow churned bandwagon. I just finished a dish of chocolate, 100 calories and delicious!

These work for me when i'm low on calories. They taste like Honey Smacks Cereal in a crunchy stick form.

I weigh myself once every other week. I don't have a scale at home so I use the one in the health office at work. I arrive at work at 10:30am, so my weigh in is usually 10:25am every other Monday. I typically have coffee and about 16 oz of water every morning, and that doesn't change even on my weigh in days. I keep my…

Let us know how you like it. I think it really gives that creamy mouth-feel that you get from sour cream, with the added bonus of extra protein.
-
It really is! I recently switched to greek yogurt to replace sour cream and I sometimes can't tell the difference!

Popcorn without the butter topping is a decent option. You could maybe bring a small bag or container of some kind that you could use to measure out your own portion controlled serving so that you don't mindlessly eat the entire bag.

Infused water is delicious. My favorite is infused orange water, and lemon is also nice.

Roasted garbanzo beans are delicious, and I second the 100 calorie pack almonds and the V8 juice. I find V8 juice surprisingly satisfying as a snack. Plus you can't beat the 700mg potassium boost you get from it.

I take my Map my Walk data (minutes and miles) and convert this to mph, then use the following website to calculate the net calories burned (net, not gross). http://www.exrx.net/Calculators/WalkRunMETs.html

It could also be multiple servings per packet.

Yogurt with sliced bananas and high protein granola is delicious.
-
Oh good, i'm not the only one then! It was surprising when I started adding them up.

I second the spaghetti squash. I discovered this a couple of months ago and i'm addicted! Its ridiculously low in calories and allows me to have large, satisfying portions.
-
peanut butter and mayo sandwiches...seriously, the BEST!
-
Chili beans over grilled or roasted sweet potatoes!

I save calories for a treat almost every night. I like to buy the novelty treats so that portion control is automatic. One of my favorites is blue bunny ice cream sandwiches. 160 cals each, and only 10% of my calories for the day.
-
I agree about Biscotti. A store-bought brand like Nonni's can be a little a 110 cals per cookie. And they're really surprisingly satisfying. You can get one that's dipped in dark chocolate if chocolate is what you crave.
-
I use pita flat bread for my pizzas. This is not the brand I buy, but they're like these. The one I use is 260 cals for the entire pita. It's about 7 inches in diameter, so i use about 40 grams of cheese and it's a perfect amount. Add about 1/4 cup of sauce, with peppers, onions, tomatoes and broccoli, and it comes to less…

I like to keep a frozen meal on hand for those days when I don't have anything prepped and I don't have time to prep before going to work. I also like to cook things like chili and pasta sauce in a large batch, or a large pot of beans, then freeze in individual servings for a quick meal. I portion out the servings into…

ercarroll, do you have a recipe for that sweet potato nachos dish? That looks delicious!
-
I'm weird...I like just salt on mine.

I like to buy precooked italian sausages, like Adelle's, and saute them with pepper and onions, add some sauce and serve over penne. Alternatively, you could add tomatoes instead of sauce and serve over rice or pasta. I also cook soup and chili and freeze in serving size portions. Makes for a quick chili mac or bowl of…

I haven't had one of those days yet, but i have had a couple of days where i've gone over by maybe 100 cals. But what's helped me is I try to save room for a treat/dessert every night. Just 100-200 cals for some popcorn, ice cream, chocolate, cookie, whatever strikes me. I also try to remind myself that on those days I do…

I have an infusion pitcher at home that I love. I really like citrus infused water, and I also hate the aftertaste of artificial sweetener.

OP, are you happy with the salad and the calories? If so, then I don't see a need for you to cut back on the dressing. IIFYM and all that. I would suggest though, that you start weighing your dressing, if you're not already. You'll get a much more accurate picture of how many calories you're eating. I would weigh…

I haven't seen Huevos Rancheros mentioned yet! LOVE this dish!

McCormick's Caribbean Jerk Seasoning is one of my go to seasonings for chicken. Be careful to not breathe in the fumes as you cook, it's killer on the lungs!

I made a delicious meal using ground beef, penne, acorn squash, roasted brussel sprouts, and onion, and seasoned with cinnamon and nutmeg, topped with swiss cheese. So good! I browned the beef with onion, simmered the beef with the pasta and spices in chicken broth until the pasta was cooked, tossed in the brussels and…
