  • I'm an executive assistant. It pays the bills. Mostly.
  • I use Moving Comfort. My favorites in that brand are the Juno and the Maia. I'm a full 40C and I run and I do not bounce.
  • I had this problem the first time I tried Insanity. I don't even think I was able to finish week 2. After several weeks off, I was able to try again. I got a rubber mat thing, maybe 3/4" thick and wore cross trainer shoes instead of running shoes. I was fine then. Definitely stop and give your knees a break.
  • Love me some art house flicks! I studied film in college at Loyola and was spoiled with the artsy theaters and dollar cinemas in New Orleans. Lafayette is sadly lacking in them. When I lived there, I'd try to pair a visit with friends in NOLA with going to see something too. Boston has plenty of places playing foreign and…
  • I crave chocolate around that same time as you. I've discovered that allowing myself one small, bite of high quality dark chocolate really satisfies the chocobeast. I've also made myself mochas before with skim milk and the sugar free chocolate syrup.
  • Coffee, Greek yogurt and bananas
  • I would say that we buy about 80% organic. I try to buy organic as much as possible, but will but conventional if I really need a specific item. I try to buy seasonal produce, that makes it easier to find organic. Meat I try to buy what is on sale and stock up the freezer. I've been buying organic eggs at the farmer's…
  • If you go by just BMI, I'm pretty sure Shaun T from Insanity would clock is as 'obese" and there is nothing fat about that man.
  • Is back home Nola? If so, last I checked, we have plenty of hot fish in the lake that would love to treat you with a LOT more respect! Chin up cher, you're a lovely woman and should have a guy that loves you for you. :-)
  • Creating your own food list and entering all of the information from the package is a little time consuming, but worth it. Using the first thing "similar" on the current lists is kind of like trying to shove a square peg in a round hole. It's not going to get you where you want to be. No one is perfect, but it's going to…
  • I'm a heavier runner, so YMMV, but from what I've read recently on the Runner's World msg boards, is to go ahead and walk more. You should keep your run pace slower than your "perfect weather" pace. Take more walk breaks, even though it seems counter productive. Everything that I've read says to push through, run at a…
  • Awesome work!! I love Insanity, great exercise program!
  • Love this ap! You can have your tunes too! The missions just pause your music and give you the story line, then you go back to your music for a few. Lather, rinse, repeat. I've done about 6 missions so far, a lot of fun. Worth $8 IMHO.
  • Executive Assistant in a large engineering firm. I'm working on going back to school for a masters in secondary education.
  • Push ups are excellent for keeping the muscle wall underneath toned, which will help keep things perky.
  • In my experience, a lot of restaurant and take out food is full of sodium. I'm usually always heavier from bloating the next morning, especially after pizza or Chinese food. Drink a ton of water today. I lose very slowly, so I take measurements too.
  • I always wear it under, just below my sports bra.
  • I have a New Orleans accent, which doesn't sound like any other accent in the South. It's closer to a New York accent.
  • Elizabeth's restaurant in Bywater. Amazing food. It's a quick cab ride from the FQ. I lived in Nola for about 17 years and did many MG's. Bathrooms are gross, but peeing in the street is one of the few things that will get you arrested. Cafe au lait and begniets at Cafe du Monde are always good. The Gumbo Shop in the FQ is…
  • HA! Me too, actually, there's a few Eminem songs on my playlist.
  • I liked the tropical strawberry one. The chocolate- no. I never tried the greenberry. If you don't care for the flavor, I wouldn't spend the money on it, health benefits or not. It's not worth spending $$$ on something you don't like.
  • Love this!! As to the guy, he sounds like a douche canoe. Ignore him. You are doing awesome and look FANTASTIC! You can't argue with those inches lost either. Keep on lifting!
  • My go to items in hot weather are smoothies, protein shakes, Greek yogurt, hard boiled eggs (I make a dozen at a time and then pop them back into the carton), and grilled chicken that has been chilled and put on top of a salad.
  • I love red wine! I've experimented with having a glass with dinner through the week and not, and for me, it definitely slows down my losses. I've cut back to a glass on the weekends (usually Friday and Saturday) and skip it during the week. My husband doesn't have this problem, so I think it may depend on the person.
  • I like both, but I mostly eat Greek these days. I opt for the plain Greek with stevia (or agave or maple syrup) and fresh fruit. It makes a great breakfast.
  • Inked! I have 2 and proud of both.
  • Minimize your processed foods. A lot of low fat foods replace the fat with salt to pump up the flavor. I realize it's a pain to cook everything from scratch, but it's worth it. On Sunday's I usually have something in the crockpot and another dish or two on the stove/oven. It really saves time during the week, we can just…
  • Another graduate of C25K! It's totally worth pushing through and if you need to repeat a week, do it. I repeated a few weeks throughout the program because I just wasn't ready to push to the next level. I now have 6 5k races under my belt and am about to start training for a 10K. Good luck!

  • Definitely go get fitted at a running store. The staff at running stores are runners themselves and can really help fit you with the correct shoe. When I got fitted for my most recent shoes, I bought 2 pair to alternate them. You may pay more at a running store, but the service is usually excellent and you can always…
  • I have 2 12oz. cups a day. I have a milk frother that I use and add a packet of Stevia. I cannot function without my coffee.
