I've been running for about 6 months and was getting about 6mph on a 30 minute run. I've started longer runs and deliberately run slower, about 5.5mph but I've noticed that my speed on the shorter runs has also gone down. I blame the weather <BG>.

I used to log it as walking until I was running more than walking. Then I got an app for my phone from Runtastic that calculates speed and calories burned using GPS. If you want to be even more accurate you could get a heart rate monitor but I don't think its worth it unless you're bothered about the last calorie.

I'm just coming up to the end of week 2 of C25K. I get the impression there are different versions of C25K out there.
