Green tea doesn't bother the thyroid. Believe me. I've been on synthroid since I was seven. I'm almost nineteen. If you're having problems with your thyroid then it's because you haven't regulated to your medication, yet. It took me 3-4 years, changing medication, and paitence before the symptoms technically went away. I…

When I lose about 30 pounds, I plan on doing a dream cosplay from the yaoi sim game "Absolute Obedience" of the main character, Louise. Heheh.

There are boundaries to everything. An amazing, well-executed cosplay can change an entire scenario, but you need to find something flattering. I personally have a HUGE frame. My chest and hips are wide and even at my thinnest, I would still appear stocky, but I am in shape and what-not enough to wear costumes that are on…

I'm aiming for at least working out 6 days a week, alternating cardio and strength training.

I actually believe you can take it with vitamins. And I'm at 137 mcg and they don't really have a bad effect. But the one supplement you shouldn't take with thyroid medication is iron. It can reverse the medication. I was anemic for awhile and I had to eat the iron in foods, instead of take supplements but it created…

I was diagnosed with hypothyroidism at age 7 and it's been 11 years full of testing and maintenance. Some symptoms the medication will never remove, such as the older I get, the more intolerant to the cold I am. Moods can still change with it, but it's possible to lose weight. My cousin his at as well as her two other…

That's so awesome!--and inspirational! Great job!

Those sort of men aren't keepers because of the ego, usually, since no one truly deserves to be put into a stereotype. Size is just a number, I mean, I don't want someone who doesn't care about their health rather than weight because I'd be too worried about their health.

I would definitely like to join this! :)

Wii Zumba 2, since I can't afford or make time for classes currently, an awesome new balance scale, and sharing my mom's gift of the FIRM resistance bands.

I do strength train during my cross country before the running. I just don't know the entire exercise names, I already understand that area because I'm also a swimmer. I have muscle mass already before running I did tae bo with weights and used to weight lift after swimming and did P90X. My food choices are often based…

Are you possibly eating too many calories? I do and hour and a half of pure running and running exercises five times a week and I don't even consume that amount of calories. Also are you watching your other intakes, such as protein, sugars, carbs, etc.? Those can make as much difference as actual calories, sometimes more.

Yes, these are great. I think I'll go work with a bath now. Most medications like advil, ibuprofen, etc. don't have much effect. I'm using the IcyHot roll-on. It burns, but it's slowly working.

The bad thing about the human body is it adapts, and sometimes incredibly fast; hence upping the calories can make you lose more. But I wouldn't consider a plateau unless you've been in the same spot for a good month. Just really play with your routine. Your exercise is awesome, so nothing there besides adding even more…

What I do is, if I really just can't find it in me to avoid maybe a snickerdoodle (seeing as those are the current enemies in the house), I'll do my cardio intense workout, and then afterwards eat only one for the taste. It'll burn a lot faster during that golden hour. It's just persistence, sadly, though, fruit can help a…

Welcome to the site! First off, I think introductions would be a fine place to start. I started my weight loss journey over four years ago as a teenager. I have hypothyroid that has finally been re-aligned to behave with its bad self. I started running one day during a summer heat wave (I was an idiot, I know.) Since then,…

You too? I have a chest bone that is wider than my own father's. My profile picture is me at 182. The doctor told me not to go under 150. That's anorexia, though I am 5'6. Depends on the bones because I'm 120lbs pure muscle, bones, organs, etc.

Try exercising and that really helps with the balancing and not feeling guilty about eating the 1.2k calorie daily minimum. But also keep in mind how much your caloric intake is depends on your body; don't depend on a machine to set all of your goals and allowances. There are days where I eat only 1,000 calories and I've…

If your main sugar is the source of fruit, try to remember how a carbohydrate (the fruit version) burns. It is used differently and burns differently than a processed sugar. I always give myself a bit more allowance there, because those will be the first sources of energy (aside from my protein) that'll go first. And to…

Good job! If you can, now you can indulge on some clothes! I have that problem with losing weight, so until I reach my goals I'm staying with really cheap, nice, wearable clothes rather than fashion. But anywho, great job again!

If you don't have enough carbs to back the protein, for example say a 1:2 ratio, then it may become an issue. Protein helps burn fat because the body doesn't break it down properly (this is something they shoved in our head in a biology class) and it takes a lot more energy to pull it apart and then use it, because of the…

Sadly, I only have the newer ones which just kick my butt, so I enjoy them. It's hard to get started, though. I want to try his older videos. PT24/7 looks awesome, but it's too pricey currently. Have you seen any results from using Tae Bo?

It sounds like your burning started out burning great and because fat burning mode does take a lot of energy. Your system may be playing catch-up and now needing more to sustain the high, over-gear burn mode? I would experiment daily with your calorie intake while watching fat, carbs, etc. Calories are heat units, rather…

I understand the struggle with carbs and sugar, being a woman, they haunt me and make devilish pleas to be eaten. Urgh! So frustrating, but for lunch I use salad with tuna and some sort of very light dressing (way under a tablespoon), stir, and serve. Amazingly, if the lettuce is cold, it tastes delightful. Then if I crave…

Looking hot, mama! I'm excited for your success, it really inspires me to keep at it since my goal is 15-30lbs by summer's end with 10 workouts for five days a week (10-minute yoga; 1 hour cardio/strength). Thanks for posting, I can't wait to see more progress!

Unless your thyroid is needing medication, that could be a cause. But if it is medicated properly, then it shouldn't be interfering. I've been on Metformin for ten years now, and it really doesn't help or go against my weight. But it may be that you're eating too much under your goal? Then you're losing more with your…
