I agree. 2 pounds a week is the very most you would even want to lose in most cases. Anything over 1 pound a week is a pretty rapid loss.

Why would not occurring in nature be a problem? This seems to be presented as true on face value and I do not see it. My lifestyle is full of clothing, medicine and foods that are artificial and the only thing really attacking me and making me sick right now is 100% natural tree pollen.

I don't subscribe to the idea that all grains are evil carbs. If you are trying that approach, fine. But it is not a universal and certainly not programmed into the myfitnesspal program. Oats and wholegrain bread can totally be a good part of a balanced diet.
