I don't think you need to always weigh everything. But weighing everything for a few weeks taught me how delusional my rough estimates had been. Since then my guesstimates have been far more accurate

At least in the beginning, precise weighing is important. When you feel ready to start tackling other nutrient issues go for it. But you can also do one thing at a time.

I would not worry about any single day. It is normal to have low or high appetite for a day or two. See if it lasts before paying much attention to these things.

Anything is possible but I suggest having a bit of a fruit and vegetable adventure -- try some of those recipes for kids where the Veges are "hidden".

I think that if you are stuck to a calorie limit it will naturally squeeze out excess sugar as you want to "spend" those calories on things that get rid of hunger

So... Is OP assuming no one reads the ingredients on processed food and so will be shocked to learn what they are? Or are they assuming we don't have our own perspective on those ingredients and so will believe a pile of ranting and scaremongering as gospel? Either way: nope.

Keep a supply of your own food (not just one meal) and follow grandmas lead by putting your name on it and the date it should be kept until.

Regardless of what some expert might say, if you are not losing weight after several months on however many calories you are eating and these are being accurately logged, you will need to drop that number a bit to start losing again. Nothing in a textbook trumps what your body is actually doing.

So why not discuss how to acheive what you both want? Like investing in home equipment, or going to the gym together.

If someone has a moko (Maori facial tattoo) I would be pretty ignorant to hold that against them. So I will tend not to assume people do any major body modification unless it is personally significant to them.

So OP is complaining that when someone asked for weight loss advice, and she gave them irrelevant cleaning eating advice, this advice was pointed out as being irrelevant. And this was wrong because...?

Questbar protein is not some lab chemical, it is from milk. They also use stevia and the closest to a chemical would be sucralose. I consider them refined but not artificial products.

Digital scales are really all very similar. Just make sure they have the right range and are accurate to the gram.

So long as the snacks are not right in your cubicle/office/whatever I think they are a non-issue.

I would rather use the pedometer. I just need to work out what rate to credit it at. It has been working great for me so I just need to find a method to use until they fix the glitch.

I am on 1200 calories and have a glass of wine every few days within that limit. I don't keep a lot in the house to avoid getting carried away and buy single serve containers.

You could just change your setting to "sedentary" and continue as usual?

Newsflash: people are different sizes and have different goals. I have been on 1200 for a few months now. It's fine.

I suggest sticking with what MFP recommends to see how that goes. I am on 1200 but I do give myself one "anything you want" meal per week. I am finding it easy to stick with with good weight loss results.
