Newsflash: people are different sizes and have different goals. I have been on 1200 for a few months now. It's fine.

I suggest sticking with what MFP recommends to see how that goes. I am on 1200 but I do give myself one "anything you want" meal per week. I am finding it easy to stick with with good weight loss results.

Did you actually tell him the trouble you went to? Because otherwise he has no way of knowing how inconvenient his cancellation was.

I log regardless. It goes up and down, I just look at the overall trend.

Yes.

You could take over the cooking. IMHO whoever is willing to cook gets to choose the recipe. You could start by doing every other night.

Speak for yourself, dude. This is an open forum and some of us are just fine with the beach body program. People should be able to have threads about it if they want, and then those who are interested can take part in them. No need to start calling people names. ETA: I don't use Beach Body but I know people who do and it…

I do if I am hungry, just like the standard allotted calories.
-
It's your money, and Beach Body isn't a bad way to kick start your summer exercise program. So ignore the naysayers and rock on.

I would suggest anyone planning to make radical dietary changes to do it based on a bit more than vaguely hearing someone say something about it. Calorie limiting is sufficient. Low card is a specific strategy that you need to research to see if it might help your specific situation. It is not a panacea.

I walk up to 5 miles at a time in normal flat office shoes that are comfortable. I am sure walking shoes would be more ideal, but I have had no problems.

A am a fairly average female doing gradual weight loss on 1200, with gains from exercise added. I have to say I find it very easy to eat a balanced diet under this limit (including ice cream most days because I love the stuff). I am sure it depends on your body weight, gender etc, circumstances and eating habits. But the…

I buy organic for philosophical reasons when I support the approach of that farmer (land conservation etc). I don't think the food is actually different. It is made in a different way that I support when it is done responsibly (e.g. not withholding medicine from animals just to keep certification).

It would be nice to have any easy way to report inaccurate listings. But IMHO it is not to difficult to spot the ones that are way off.
-
Are you doing the same for your MFP friends?
-
Friend request sent :)

I have no specific carb goal but my numbers come out close to the MFP default.

There are a lot of good reasons to eat herbs, but this is not one of them.

I went just over 2000 on my highest day. And very much enjoyed the celebration and family meal. Eating is part of festivities in a great many countries and not a big deal IMHO unless you have a major holiday every week of the year.
-
I don't think it's rude, but it might come across better if you make enough to share.

I get some totally random upticks of up to 2-3 pounds in a day. it makes me wonder if the scale is not working right. But so long as the 2 week trend is down I ignore it.

Do you have a gym nearby to deal with the space complaints? She might decide she prefers you cluttering up the place rather than not being there :)

If it bothers you plenty of markets like Wholefoods etc allow you to pick you own peanuts and grind them. Eliminates all those extra ingredients too.
-
You could got for MFP's top which is 2 pounds a month but maybe not count exercise credit to get a little more. IMHO walking is a good way to start. A half hour at a good pace is surprisingly effective exercise. Swimming is also very good. Many pools have aquasize classes.

I gotta say you are stylish at every size! But great to see you closing in on that goal :)
