Today: (6 months post partum) I was 184lbs the day before I delivered. 130 lbs when I concieved. 5'5" 141.8 lbs weight 36.5" hips 33.5" waist Both Thighs- 21" Both Calves- 13.5" (I was actually surprised both calves and thighs were the same inches, usually the dominant leg is a little different. I even measured 3 times).

since it's just one day- sensible serving of: turkey, green beans, pineapple casserole, sweet potatoe casserole, slice of pie, and a glass or two of wine. then, the next day I will go right back on track with what I normally do. I will also do the same thing on Christmas.

GREAN TEA. even with mint and lemon grass. I now crave it in the cold evenings after my 6 month is down for the night. Helps with cravings and I just feel warm afterwards. I also like spiced teas too.

It doesn't taste like Turkey, But, I actually love it. I'm not a vegitarian. I go to a vegan thanksgiving on the sunday after thanksgiving every year and I help myself to it with not guilt.

1400 is actually great. It depends how much you want to lose. I've been on the 1200/day and after a while it stopped working. I've been doing a lot of research, because I'm a nerd and miss grad school, and I came to the conclusion that for me 1400 is great. Your BMR is what your body needs to stay alive if you were in a…

I go for a walk or do some light pilates ball workout. It gets the blood flowing and streches me out, which feels good. Nothing strenuous, but, it feels good.

I stop eating after 7 pm. (but do eat if I "really" feel hungry- something healthy) I drink a cup of green tea around 8 pm every night. I try not to sit all evening- wash dishes, get my daughter diaper bag ready for the next day etc (cloth diapers, bottles ready, etc) If i feel tired I still at least do 30 min of light…

I had been doing 1200 for 2 months with no change at all. So i just bumped it up to 1400/day on Nov 5. I'm still seeng how that is going. No change as of yet. I exercise about 3-4 times a week (though I am somewhat active on weekends). I figure that since I'm trying to lose the last 13 lbs i'd try a smaller deficit and…

I had a C-section to. is tarted walking daily when I was comfortable with it. I didn't over do it, but, it helped to get the blood flowing. I lost 35 lbs the first 4 weeks after giving birth, and have been stuck with the last 14 or so lbs since then. I'm trying to find my magic number as well.

I will eat half of what I would normally eat if I wasn't dieting. Since I'm on-call on Thanksgiving weekend I won't be drinking that weekend, which is helpful. I will walk with my visiting family every day, with my daughter in the stroller, and I will fix healthy snacks to snack on... like homemade bean dip, soups, and…

LIsbeth Garcia's "on theball pilates" is great, and it supports your back. also, any sort of planks (there are lots of free videos on the interwebz). Take it slow and just doing crunches alone wont do it. I'm a big fan of pilates and anything jillian micheals.

I'd say that's fairly accurate.

I use my HRM to see how many cal i burn when I use my weighted hula hoop. I burn about 75 cal/ 10 min if I'm doing moderate and 100 cal/10 min if I'm working it hard. I tend to work harder with good music on and to make my 6 month odl daughter laugh. I love hula hooping! I've gotten so that I don't mess up hardly at all in…

On a night I'm going all out I do a shot of Tequilla and then sip on wine. If I want more, I do another shot. Then i'm fine for the rest of the night. I usually have wine 2X a week with dinner..... and since I had a baby haven't partied too hard..... except for a few times where we had grandma watching the little one. That…

thanks, I recently upped it to 1400, as my BMR is 1445. supposedly. I'm trying something new, not eating below what I would be fed if I were in a coma and doctors were feeding me the minimal to keep me alive.... seems to make sense. We shall see. The protein is definitely something I will be increasing and have been…

I have the implant "Implanon", It works great and no side effects, except for random unpredictable periods. But, those are light and only last a day or 2. other than that it's ok. no weight gain as of yet, I've been on it for 4 months now, after having a baby.

Behavior modification techniques can help here. Logging it will help, a lot. Being mindful is the first step of change it's called "contemplation". Next you have to make a plan. Then it's time to implement it. Don't create a plan you cannot do. A few small goals so start will are a great way to get it started. That way you…

you may want to try a post pregnancy fitness dvd to tone up the abs that were stretched during the pregnancy (which may not have toned up since). if your back hurts that means that your abs are too weak. stregnthen the abs- Pilates on a yoga ball is great for weak backs. Get a DVD or try a free workout on one of the…

I have a 5 month old and am still strying to lose weight. I kept losing till I was 6 weeks post partum and it just stopped. I have lost probobly 4 lbs total since then... it's frustrating (that was in july). I gained a lot due to water weight and pre-eclampsia/ But, I am now 14 lbs from the pre-pregnancy weight and my goal…

ha, patience, what a novel concept, that I am not but always strive to have. :) thanks for the reminder on the hormones. I keep forgetting that my body is still leveling out with the hormones.

no longer breast feeding, I'm a social worker and see clients in their houses, it's hard to pump with that schedule. Jillian Micheals DVD are great! I do them to fill in the running breaks. My husband is a god send with taking my daughter in the evenings he's not training Jiu Jitsu to give me a break to work out.

I KNOW how you feel! I had a c-section 6 months ago. I was fit before the pregnancy. I couldnt work out the last trimester due to pre-eclampsia. so frustrated, cannot lose the last 14 lbs or tighten my belly. I have been doing yoga ball pilates with lizbeth garcia and I feel the difference under that fat layer. my core is…

popcorn, crunchy veggies with light dressing, nuts, tea/water, SPARKLING water with a splash of juice, (trying to remember my college and graduate school days that were really not that long ago even though I like to try to forget the stress lol), gum! gum always helps me out. Also, my best advice is to just eat a healthy…

i pretty much eat all wheat, grew up eating that way. (much to my husband's dislike!). No white bread or pasta in the house. I don't have sweets in the house, don't eat desserts really ever. I have larger lunches than I do dinners usually, just feel beter that way. I also stop eating after 8 pm and sip on green tea most…
