The winner of this game is the opposite of what your suggesting. The goal is to eat the most you can while still in a deficit to lose weight. Eating too little will cause health problems and isn't sustainable so you will most likely gain any weight that you lose back bc you haven't taught yourself how to eat properly

I believe you that the Dexa told you that it's 1280 but even this scan has an error margin. You are more than welcome to believe it but IMO I don't think it's accurate with your stats My best advice to you if to enter your information into MFP and get how many calories you should be eating. Please be sure that 1200 calories is appropriate for you. MFP only gives you information based on what you tell it and 1200 is the lowest that it will go. Perhaps you picked too aggressive of a goal? Going to put this right here:
