Lots of GREAT info to be found within this Group. Excellent bookmarked posts that I return to frequently in order to restore focus towards my health goals. And, when someone does post -- there will generally be a response

Ditto! But my binge is carbs, especially all the BREAD that I can find. Ice cream would be a problem too if I didn't just keep it out of the house. Bread, biscuits, potatoes, rice, tortillas, pasta, etc are constantly available because of the kids. Hoping that warm weather will get my cut to progress - fresh vegetables,…

Crazy question - perfectly normal for this thread, right ;) So, I've seen several mention acne. But, has anyone experienced HORRIBLE blistering lips? Nothing like a fever blister, more like the entire lip is swollen and blisters. Sometimes it is exactly the opposite & my lips are so dry that they look like a cracked…

^^ add mountain climbers and pushups to each burpee just for fun ;)

Good, easy, convenient & can be adapted with different add-ins (fruit/nuts/spices/etc) to keep from getting monotonous or boring. Love my oats! A year round item for me; however, almost my daily breakfast in the summer -- "cooking" breakfast & leaving for work basically unnoticed while the kiddos are still asleep. Eggs,…

@Dids1975 My desk job and workaholic nature were not helping my attempts at being healthy - sat ALL day long. No device can 'make' you be more healthy, but when I set an idle timer on my UP there was a significant change in my awareness. I realized that I needed to get "UP" ;) and move - even if it was just to the copier…

Had an UP24 for about a year - it really helped me notice how inactive I was. And, while I knew that I did not get enough sleep, the UP app/ tracker was an eye-opener (pun intended.) I set the smart alarm to remind me about bedtime, and I set the Idle alert for 45 minute intervals during the day. The difference has been…

Glad you are seeing progressive recovery. Though I do not lift anywhere near what would be considered "heavy," I have on again/off again shoulder tendinitis. That twinge you mentioned is my trigger for backing off when I try to over do it. Stubborn one that I am, I try to tough it out and not take the ibuprofen when I know…

Agree with you wholeheartedly, OP. Much less costly than a therapist ;) and the improvements to my physical appearance haven't been so bad either :)

The real question is..... Where, when is the next party at which you will be preparing all of these festive sounding libations? ;) Line 'em up - I'll be glad to taste test and report back to our MFP friends :) CHEERS!

I'm still logging thru UP. I have noticed that my UP adjustment for the last 3 days (Sun, Mon, Tues) is either minimal or negative. My Saturday data looks correct with ~500cal adjustment. While I wish I could run 10 miles  , I do usually get my 10,000 steps including about 30-40 minutes on a treadmill and have…

When it's cold, and the daylight hours are shorter.... I could and frequently do eat EVERYTHING & ANYTHING! Coffee / Hot Tea consumption is through the roof, and so are potty breaks at work & interruption to sleep during the night. Add some rain or snow to the mix, and I'm hibernating like a (very mean Grizzly) bear. In my…

I'll let the experts address the important questions regarding workout plans, etc. My comment is purely out of envy for the Steam & Sauna rooms (no such thing in my small town gym).... Oh my goodness, those may be torture for others; however, I find both to be very relaxing after a great workout. Actually, I find them…

The food looks ok. Depends on what your goal is. For this 50+ mama, I'm merely trying to stay healthy enough to keep up with my kids. I am 5'4" and hover between 114-116 on 1800 cal/day, lifting 2 days/wk. Personally, I would need MORE - volume & variety & just MORE food in general. It may work fine for you; but, even…

Any recommendations for good, affordable rowing equipment that I can use at home? Would love the Concept2 from the video above, but gotta feed those kids of mine before I feed my fitness habit ;)

My UP24 has been pretty accurate, and insightful info for me at least  On the occasion when I've forgotten to put it in sleep mode, it has let me recover the data the next morning if I enter approximate sleep/wake times. I'd love to upgrade to a similar device with HR, but haven't heard good reviews. And, I don't…

^^ This, and using 5lb dumbbells for about 5minutes each morning and night for 15 months =

Boobs - I used to have them :/ And, it used to be much easier to shave my underarms with that little pad of fat :o

Unfortunately Jawbone and all the UnderArmour owned apps (MFP/ MapMyFitness / etc) must be having problems... I ran 4 miles this morning and recorded the run as I always do on MapMyFitness. Now, two hrs later my UP still only shows 500 steps for the day. It'll catch up and be back in sync eventually. Besides, I probably…

Coincidence that I read your post as I am pre-logging my food for the evening and it looks like I will be "over" my goal by slightly more than the beer I am planning on consuming ;) Am I going to forgo the beverage? Or ditch the blueberries, cake, and whipped cream that I wanted to eat before bed? Perhaps I should get in a…

I have UP24 and all data / history has been restored or synced to MFP both on iOs app and website. Wohoo! Unfortunately, I went over on calories EVERY single day that the sync didn't work :( Obviously, I am NOT ready to try it on my own --- I need to keep logging & tracking exercise. Guesstimating gets me in too much…

I'd really like some of that post race (sometimes mid-race) food that @SonicDeathMonkey80 posts pictures of.... or take a rest day with this Dr. Jack Daniels that @Stoshew71 quotes.... however, with my lack of running miles it looks more like I need to fall back in @LoneWolfRunner 's pack :o
-
So sad :'( Hope they resolve this soon. Until then, I'll just be extra attentive to my logging. A good test of my will power. If I can manage my calories and nutrition, then the gain/surplus cals from exercise will be a bonus even if I don't see them on MFP :)

Last weekend attended Beale Street Music Fest. 3 days of drinking LOTS of beer, eating decadent fair-type food (read fried, or greasy, or mass quantities - 1000 ways to cook pork, including BACON), and pots full of coffee for breakfast..... MUSIC was Amazing! B) Confession: Gained almost 2lbs, and had a hard time getting…

^^ Consistently 36C (no padding, no pushup, etc) for over 3 decades - excluding some gains in fullness when pregnant  Starting weight 148lbs May 2014, before joining MFP. Current size - 34A or 32 nearly B if there is some padding. Basically flat as a pancake, no fullness or volume, definitely no perkiness (but I'm 50…

Beautiful weekend, but NO real running for me. Over the course of 3 days I have managed to bust my calorie budget in excess of 3,500 net - aggregate - at least a whole lb - who knows the real total because I have no idea all of the food I ate >:) after indulging in many high calorie, zero nutrition alcoholic drinks.…

Wohoo! I am a RUNNER! and I made my goal! Now, on to May and bigger goals (miles & a race?) to conquer.... but first: a long weekend of no exercise & hopefully not too decadent music fest fun <3
