  • I am 5'3", 34yo, SW 156.4 CW 132.8 GW 120-125 I have lost a little over 20lbs, people started noticing around 15lbs, but with each lb lost more and more people have started noticing. I think part of the issue is I tend to wear loser fitting clothes anyway, so the weight loss isn't as noticeable.
  • I am 34, mom of two boys (13 and 4), and work full time at a desk job. I used my fitness pal a few years ago to lose 20lbs, but then gained it back. I started back up in January and have lost 20lbs, with about 10 more to go until I reach my goal.
  • That stinks! Our coach Hannah is awesome! She lets us just ask general questions about any health topic and we can ask others in our group for advice on what works for them. I know the coach can see what you log in RA, so I see where it is easier if you use RA tools. I just finished week 11 and my class is merging with…
  • Grilled pork chop, mac & cheese, and broccoli
  • I have been enrolled in RA since February and you get to set your calorie goals. I also donate use their website to track food, I like MFP better. I like attending the meetings to hold me accountable to weigh in, but if you are familiar with counting calories, most of the stuff they talk about you will already know. I…
  • Hi! I started MFP again after a 2 year break (during which I gained all of my weight back!). I started Jan 1, 2017 at 154.6 and as of today I am at 134.4. My goal is 125, although I am not sure I will be 100% satisfied at this goal. For much of my youth I weight 115lb, give or take a few lbs, so I know what I look like and…
  • 5'3" and currently 135 (started at 154) my goal is 125, but it could change as I get closer.
  • We have it in the refrigerator at all times! (My husband is half Korean) we use it to flavor rice or in a marinade for prom chicken or beef.
  • My typical breakfast is vanilla Greek yogurt with half a arriving of kashi go lean cereal mixed in. Some times some PB2 mixed in as well. I need something quick through the week and Greek yogurt fits that bill.
  • Aiming for less than 130 lbs by my vacation (we check in June 2nd)... as of today I am sitting at 135. 5 lbs in 6 weeks might be a stretch, but I am going to give it my all :)
  • I feel like it almost has to be a combination of the two for long term success. I make better choices during my main meals to make a few extra calories in my day for a little bit of a sweet treat at night. It all fits into my daily calorie goals. Now whether you have something you love everyday in a small portion or…
  • If I do nothing other than my normal day to day stuff, I burn around 1,700ish, if I go for a longer walk I can burn up to 2,200. But I am on the shorter side, I have an office job, and I am within a normal weight range for my height.
  • I just picked a number in the mid range of a healthy BMI for someone my height. I still have 12lbs before I reach this goal, but after I lose another 7, I might look into a recomp instead of killing myself over the last 5 lbs. It all kind of depends on how I feel when I get there.
  • My MIL is Korean and makes us homemade kimchi all the time. If I ever get the chance to make it with her I will share the recipe. She makes some with cabbage some with radishes and some with bean sprouts. They are all delicious!
  • How many calories do you eat per week including your binge? Take than number and divide by 7 and try that as your new daily goal. If you were losing even with binging, then you should still lose on this new daily goal. It is the same number of weekly calories, just spread out to keep you feeling satisfied.
  • Have you ever tried freezer meal prepping? I have recipes from a direct sales company, but you could make your own. The trick is you prep everything you can fresh, then freeze in cooked. You thaw the night before and when you get home all you have to do is cook. I can make meatloaf in 20-25 or so minutes because I Have the…
  • I put on a pair of jeans this morning that I haven't wore in 3+ years! I couldn't get them up past my thighs in January. They actually buttoned fairly easily too :) Oh and yesterday a coworker commented on how much weight I have lost and how skinny I am looking. She is a sweet lady that knows I am trying to lose weight, so…
  • Cash- really nice family vacations Calories- cookies and milk before bed
  • My challenges are exercise. Through MFP I have learned how to eat at 1200 calories, but getting the motivation to exercise consistently is hard! And I HATE cardio with a passion. I did find out I enjoy the strength training routines on RA, so I am focusing on strength and just incorporating walking into my routine for a…
  • What are your favorite breakfast ideas? I am kind of stuck on Vanilla Greek Yogurt and Kashi cereal at this point (160calories for .5C of Yogurt with 26g of cereal). I try to stay around 1200 calories a day (and I prefer a snack after dinner) so that doesn't leave me very many calories to play with. And eventhough they…
  • Hi! I started RA in February because it was free through my employer. I agree that it is kind of hokey and not a lot of mindblowing information provided, but I use the weekly meetings as accountability on weighing myself. Out of everything I think I like the Strenght videos the best. I do them a few times to get the…
  • I was always thin as a child and teenager, but as an adult my weight has yo-yoed. When I stepped on the scale on NYE an realized I weighed the same as I did the day I gave birth to my oldest son, I knew I had to start losing some of the extra weight. This time I am trying to incorporate so strength training, hoping that if…
  • Just slightly sore today, definately not injured (I was very athletic in high school and know what pulled/torn muscles feel like). I guess I am more out of shape than I thought because I didn't expect to still be feeling it today! I am going to push through tonight. Thanks for your responses.
  • I always try to keep a few in the freezer, for days when I have nothing else to grab for lunch. They are good portion control for calorie intake, but I agree the volume is small. If you are used to eating larger portions of low calorie foods (like fresh fruit and veggies) you may be feeling a little hungry at the end of…
  • I have had 2 children. The first when I was 20 and a full time college student/working part time. I gained 40lbs with his pregnancy and lost everything (plus 2 lbs) by my 6 week checkup. I wasn't dieting or exercising at all just eating normally and trying to maintain my crazy schedule. I had my second child at 29. I…
  • 5'3" HW: 175lbs (pregnancy) @ 29 HW: 154lbs (non pregnant) @ 28 LW: 115lbs @ 18 CW: 130lbs @ 31 GW: 125lbs
  • Today is my last day of the 1st week of leve 1. While I can't comment on level 2, I think I will spend longer than 3 weeks on level 1. I was looking for something that would give me a good core workout in a reasonable amount of time and this video fits the bill!
  • I was always thin as a child/teenager, then I had my son and got married and the weight started creeping up. Through dumb "luck" (really a few very depressing months and some out of whack hormones) I dropped all the weight without really trying. I had my second child in 2012 and since I have yet again let my weight creep…
  • I made these this evening and they were rather bitter. I used Stevia (like the recipe called for) but I may try them again, with the baking blend to see if they turn out sweeter. It would be worth the extra calories if they came out tasting more like a true brownie.
