  • I would suggest to set a goal for yourself and measure yourself against that goal. If you spend your time measuring yourself against others, you will likely never be happy. Recent example of this in my life. I joined a weight loss competition at work. I set a personal goal to lose 10lbs during the duration of the…
  • Fats and protein! My go to breakfast right now is a scrambled egg (in either grapeseed or olive oil) with half and avocado and 2T of salsa. Around 200 calories depending on the size of the avocado and keeps me full until lunch. To be fair, I sit at a desk during the day, so I would probably double the eggs and add some…
  • •3/21- 136ish (This was my starting weight for a weight loss challenge at work, I was 138.8 fully clothed) •4/6- 132.4... date I started posting here •4/9- 130 (was carrying some extra water weight LOL) •4/16- 128.4 (and the rest of the water is gone!) •4/23- 128 •4/30- 127.8 •5/7- 127.0 •5/14- 126.0 •5/21 *5/28
  • I estimate the amount of oil I use and then just add it to the calories frim the food I put in the air fryer. I use olive oil and my husband bought a spray bottle that you fill yourself. I figure the light spray I use isn't more than .25 to .5 of a teaspoon per serving. So I guess and move on.
  • Some of the debate here has made me lose faith in the compassion of human kind.

  • I agree with amtyrell... Sesame Oil is the secret to great stir fry and fried rice! The only seasonings I use is the sesame oil, chopped garlic, and soy sauce.
  • I love Cracker Barrel! You can eat fairly healthy if you have willpower. I went for the single grilled pork chop, carrots, and cheese grits. Had an unsweet tea and avoided the biscuits (which was hard) so managed not to break the calorie bank :) Now if I was going full out and ignoring my calorie count, I would do the…
  • I tend to eat the same thing for several weeks then switch it up. Currently it is scrambled eggs (Or an omelet if I have meat and veggies to put in it) topped with avocado and salsa. Delicious and quick. I cook the eggs before I leave for work (takes like 5 minutes at most). If I am doing an omelet, I chop the veggies/meat…
  • I went last year (We actually go every year) and gained about 5 lbs, but all but 1 was water weight from eating the extra sodium and carbs that i wasnt used to. By 2 weeks after i was back to pre trip weight. To me that set back was totally worth it!
  • I have microwaved it whole (poke holes in it like you would a baked potato), but scooping the seeds and "guts" out after it is cooked is harder than when it is raw in my opinion.
  • I am in! Going to shoot for 7 since I am late joining Age 35 5'3" CW 132.4 GW 125
  • Naked Wings (just sprinkle with garlic salt or add your favorite rub0 boneless skinless chicken breasts dipped in an egg wash and rolled in Italian bread crumbs (no need for salt) I learned to give things a light spray of olive oil to help them crisp more, adds a few calories, but still better than deep frying! I did some…
  • I haven't read all the responses, but I have a very picky child and a husband that doesn't like certain things for dinner. I usually make things that we can all eat. So if we have baked chicken or pork chops, I make mac n cheese and a veggie. I portion out my protein and veggies, then I eat either a side salad or just a…
  • I am farther south (St. Louis suburb) but I imagine my exercise routine will suffer a bit in the winter. I already got a bit lax on it when August hit and it was 110 degree heat index. My parents have a treadmill, I am contemplating just visiting them frequently when it is really cold.
  • I do, I really don't feel like I am "thin", but in retrospect, I never felt like I was "overweight" either. I struggle to see any changes good or bad. I always feel the same. So I was shocked when I stepped on the scale this past new years and saw what I weighed (nearly 155lbs @ 5'3" wearing a size 10/12). Fastforward 7…
  • Rough estimate, I split mine up 200/350/650, then exercise calories I eat back in snacks.
  • 22.1 I just hit my goal weight this morning, but I may shoot for another 5lbs-10lbs weightloss which would put me between 20 and 21. Lower than 20 and I may start looking sickly.
  • I always plan my meals around the calories I burn on an "inactive" day, then if I am hungrier in the evening on days I exercise I have a snack to eat back a few of my exercise calories. I am short and don't really have a ton of weight to lose, so I don't burn that many more calories on days I "exercise" vs an "inactive"…
  • I was on pace to lose 30lbs (going from 156 to 126 @ 5'3") in 7 months, but I just went on a 2 week vacation that set me back about 6lbs. I will probably now hit 30lbs lost in around 8 or 9 months.
  • I like milk, so I will have a glass at breakfast or with a snack every once and awhile. I will also have a glass of wine every now and then or a beer, other than that I drink water or unsweetened ice tea.
  • I am going on a similar length vacation this coming week. The first 5 or so days I will do alright because we are staying on the beach, bit the following week we have a meal plan that includes lots of snacks, buffets, and desserts. I am going to try to make good choices when I can, bit I also want to enjoy myself. I am…
  • 5'3" 128.6lbs Calves 13in Thighs 21 in Even when I am heavy I have chicken legs LOL
  • I have actually had it happen twice, but what can you do but laugh it off? I am young(ish) and female in a predominately male office- any time a young woman gains a few pounds everyone tends to jump to conclusions.
  • Popcorn if I am craving salty and cookies or ice cream when I am craving sweet. I have been buying ice cream sandwiches at about 160 calories each they aren't a deficit buster.
  • When a coworker (man) makes a comment about you being pregnant... and you are not. Yes this really happened to me and sadly I wasn't even overweight at the time. It did make me question wearing certain outfits though, especially when I did put on 30lbs. My turning point this winter was when I stepped on the scale and…
  • It is crazy how differently people carry weight! I am 5'3" and while I haven't bought new pants in awhile I am guessing I am a comfortable 6 at my current weight of 130lbs. My goal weight is 125 and I was hoping to be a size 4 at that weight, but I don't think it will happen (nothing particular about that size, I just was…
  • I snack just about every night! I am not as hungry in the mornings, so I usually opt for a smaller breakfast so I have some calories left for a snack after dinner. It is usually a sweet snack, but sometimes I am craving something salty and popcorn is my go to in those instances.
  • For me it isn't that my mind hasn't caught up to my weightloss, it is more that I never truely registerd how much weight I had put on. Even though I knew that I was about 30lbs heavier than I used to be, I always felt the same. I think mentally I just blocked out the fact that I was overweight. So now that I have lost the…
