Cracker Barrel is a bit of a surprise, but they have lots of options that have 500 calories or less! (You just may have to avoid the delicious biscuits they bring out LOL) I had dinner there this weekend for less than 400 calories (grilled chicken tenders, baby carrots, and a side salad, with very little dressing).…

Use your protein to flavor your veggies. (A small amount of bacon with grease in green beans give them a delicious salty bacony taste) However, you have to account for the calories in your protein and fat when logging. My MIL also makes ham wrapped asparagus with a white cheese sauce topping that is delicious (although…

I am going on a 10 day vacation in a couple weeks. I plan on logging as much as I can, but not eating at a deficit. I don't want to get out of the habit of logging (since the last time I took a break from logging it turned into a year and a half and I gained back everything I lost :( .) I want to be able to enjoy myself,…

130.2 this morning...so close! We added to the beginning of our vacation. So now we leave May 29th. My next goal will be making it to goal weight by July 1st. With a 10 day vacation in June this may be a stretch goal, but why not?

I am 5'3" 34yo, My goal right now is 125 (currently at 130), but I might reassess and drop my goal to 120. I still have some extra inches around my belly and hips I want to lose.

I once burt carrots trying to steam them for dinner (accidentally let all the water boil out of the pan). Threw out the carrots and started over and did the same thing again. There was not a third attempt LOL. I have also caught several kitchen towels on fire and scorched paper plates turning the wrong burner on by mistake.

The office I work in has monthly celebrations sometimes more than one. I don't find it too hard to avoid the food table in those instances, but I eat lunch with the same lady everyday (she is pretty much the equivalent of my best friend at work LOL). So anyday she doesn't feel like bringing a lunch we eat out. I have…

This winter/early spring I only ate fast food a handful of times, but as the weather gets warmer and my kids Summer activities start, I will probably eat fast food a little more (I am aiming for no more than once a week though). As a family we eat at a sit down restaurant usually once a week.

People who knew I was trying to lose weight noticed around 15lbs which was about 10% of my bodyweight. I am not sure if they were just being polite or if they really saw a difference. I have lost about 23lbs total and I have had 3 people who didn't know I was trying to lose weight comment on my weightloss.

I am going on vacation in a few weeks and I don't plan on taking anything "diet" related. I am going to estimate my calories just to have the information, but not truely weighing and logging. It is only for 10 days and I plan on enjoying myself and not being tied to a scale or my food diary.

Milk, eggs, bread, greek yogurt, PB2, cheese (shredded and string cheese), bananas, halos, broccoli (frozen), green beans, (frozen or canned), canned tomatoes (sauce, crushed, and diced), canned fruit in juice (peaches, pears, and pineapples), boneless skinless chicken breasts, ground beef, boneless porkchops, white rice…

Other people have just now really started noticing- I have had 3 people at work comment on my weight loss in the past week. I personally don't feel much different. I think I see a difference more when I put on clothes that used to be too tight and now they are loose. But I never really felt "overweight", it is only looking…

If you are dealing with an allergy I would definately discuss with a Dr. Nutritionally not all substitutes are equal. My youngest developed a sensitivity to lactose (not a true allergy, but it did cause him some tummy issues) around 18 months old, so we had him on lactose free cows milk for a couple years. He had no issues…

Most of the time I just think about all the hard work I have been putting into my weightloss journey and that is motivation enough to stay on track. If not, I just try to make the best choice possible and log it. If I can I will try to rearrange my calories in my remaining meals to fit into my goal (I pre log), if I can't…

JCP Worthington Brand of dress pants, they are decent price and look nice. I also have bought dress pants from Kohls, but I feel like their sizing is a bit odd (I think they run a tad big)

Awesome work!

I have lost 23 lbs since January 1st sticking to a 1200 calories a day. I am shorter, (5'3") so 1200 isn't really that much of a struggle, but if you are taller you can probably raiser your calorie limit some. I do eat back some of my exercise calories if I am hungry. I still have about 7lbs to lose, but I expect to be at…

5'3" and currently 131 lbs. The majority of my pants are size 8, but most are on the big side. I would say most brands I probably wear a size 6. I am hoping to be closer to a 4 when I hit my goal (125ish). Unfortunately I am built like a ruler when I am lean (my hips and chest size are nearly identical), so I usually wear…

Awesome progress! I don't set too many "mini goals", but I did reach my wedding day weight last month and it is kind of fun to think about. I have a goal to break the 130lb mark by my vacation in a few weeks. I am so close, but I am not sure I will get there. I am ok with it though. Ultimately this is a lifestyle change…

Nice work! I think I am on week 12 (although when we merged classes I ended up repeating a week). I have been focusing on weight loss since Jan 1, and I am down about 23lbs.

Spinach salad with strawberries, a string cheese, and a snack size reese peanut butter egg for "dessert"- unless my coworker wants to go out, then probably a cup of soup or a salad from somewhere :)

half a cup of light vanilla greek yogurt (112g), with a serving of PB2 mixed in, topped with half a serving of Kashi cereal. It is 205 calories, but you could easily double the amounts for a more substantial breakfast (I am only eating 1200-1300 calories a day and I prefer to eat more at dinner)

Chicken Tortilla soup! I have used Rotisserie Chicken or cooked boneless skinless chicken breasts and shredded them, add diced tomatoes, green chilis if you like them, corn (frozen or canned-drained), black beans (drained and rinsed), taco seasoning, and chicken stock/broth. I don't have a set recipe, I just load the…

The classes start really big, but participation starts falling off after a few weeks. I can't remember how many people were in my group starting, but right now we have less than 10 active participants. It makes sense to merge classes when participation is low, it frees up coaches for new classes.

I don't consider it a cheat day, but I had a pretzel dog last night for dinner (It has been at least 6 months since I had a hot dog) and it gave me terrible stomach cramps. I am guessing it was just a shock to my digestive system. But it was delicious and worth a little discomfort ;)

Birth control alone never had an impact on my weight. I have gained 30lbs while on it and I have also lost weight while on it, which leads me to the conclusion that it isn't the pill, it is the fact that I am eating too many calories! What I do notice, is that I have more exaggerated PMS symptoms while off the pill, which…
